Couldn't run 4x1GB memory on this board without pressing F4 in the Cell Menu and setting the values as in the picture.
The CPU is a Q6600@400x9=3.6GHz, memory is tested to work perfectly on this board in 2x1GB at 1200MHz 5-5-5-12, however, due to a stupid bios limitation I cannot run it more than 1000MHz 5-4-4-12. As Anandtech has outlined well, it's a crappy glitch. Tried to up vmem or vmch, no result.

You have a very cool processor there!

    Cool!
I managed to upped my E2140 alittle.

What's the deal with the FSB jumper on this board?

Does it set the MCH strap / timings?

Is there the option to adjust "Performance Level" (aka tRD) in the BIOS?

    Thanks

No option for PL (tRD) in BIOS.

Performance Level is affected by setting TRFC in bios.
For example on my 2x2GB Adata if I set 54 performance level is 8 and if I set it to 48 is 7.

The max FSB I can get my my Neo2-FR (1.83B and Rev. 1.1) and E8400 (Q745A) is 505fsb, which is disappointing. It isn't a huge problem but I had DDR1000 ram and wanted to have the FSB above 500fsb. Currently running it @4.3ghz (478 X 9) with 1.38v under load, and it ran 9.5 hours Orthos Blend Stable without any errors. Any tips on getting my FSB any higher, I have ran up the VTT and NB Voltage and still no go.

have you tried setting the jumpers below the first PCI-E x16 slot to 333fsb?

I am pretty postive I set the jumpers to the 333fsb stap but I'll just double check as the FSB I recorded on the board and CPU don't mirror others results one bit.

    I'm using an E8400.
1st one was Q748, pretty yucky.
Max fsb was 530 but need 1.475v for 4ghz and 1.6v for 4.2ghz.

    The 2nd one is better.
    1.27v for 4ghz, 1.5375v for 4.5ghz.
Have yet to test max fsb on this one.

Have anyone tested this board with 4x1Gb D9GXX? Thinking about buying another pair of 8500 Ballistix. What could I expect with ~2,3 volts 24/7?
    1200Mhz 5-5-5-15?

It is not possible to run very high clocks on that Board. I can't give reasons for that but i made this experience twice (with xp-8500 of mushkin and crucial 8500er ballistix).
But hey, the performance is even good with such "low" clocks so don't worry

I have a Q745 and the max I am getting for fsb is around 530fsb, but it clocks great besides that. I have ram that does 550mhz and it would be awesome if I could do 550fsb x 8...

Bios is getting better. Apart from the good old 1.10 now 1.83 and 1.84 seem stable and clock high enough.

MSI seems like releasing beta BIOS every one or two weeks. I've flashed more than 10times since owning the board for around 3 months. Would excessive flashing damage the BIOS chip?

1.84 is the same as 1.83 except that it fixes some reboot problems on 8xxx cpu. Thats what I heard.

    About bios flashing:
"In the earliest EAROMs, this might occur after as few as 1,000 write cycles, while in modern Flash EEPROM the endurance may exceed 1,000,000, but it is by no means infinite."
In other words don't worry about flashing, I don't see myself flashing over 100 times not to mention 1 million.
I must admit I flashed the bios on this board about 30 times by now.

And some good news. I got this 2x2GB Adata 800+ extreme memory ($100+). It works up to 1120MHz on this board using only 2.2v and 5-5-5-15-48 .
    Currently running at 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 2.05v .
