My board finally died, it rebooted itself, threw a bad checksum error, and refuses to post after that. So I copied bios 907, renamed it FORMULA.ROM, plug in the thumbdrive, restart, it reads and completed BIOS ROM recovery, and next thing i know, it doesnt even reboot anymore, just gets stuck at DETDRAM.
I tried everything, pull out power plug, take out cmos batt, reset bios, use 1 stick of RAM, everything. and it won't reboot anymore. ARG.... what is wrong with this board!
update: replaced the board, the reseller is not very happy, but since within time frame of their 30days 1-1 exchange, they gave me a new board, with 802 bios, ran everything fine, but strange thing is orthos will run fine for an hour or so, and then the program will crash and show me a windows error about unable to read a specific range of memory addresses, and then crashes windows and cause an auto reboot... however running memtest shows no error after a cold reboot, yet throw lotsa error after restarting from orthos/windows crash.
anyone has any ideas why it is so?

Hey guys, what is actually the MB temp, some sort of average value across all sensors on the mobo or something?
And where can I find the max temps for MB, NB and SB? My MB and NB keep sounding the alert when they reach 30C and 45C on low load.

After further testing with my board I've found that the more I increase my NB volts, the more likely I am to get a DET DRAM error. 8*400 is perfectly fine at NB 1.25. As soon as I raise it to *>1.35 I will get a det dram error. Anyone else notice this?

Try 533x7 or 545x7 all settings but vcore and ram at auto. The mb lifts vnb, pll, fsbt as fsb goes up. Auto at 545fsb gives 1.71Vnb, wow. This is my limit for ram, not cpu.

Has anyone tried running RAM at CR1 on this board? I was doing some benching and couldn't get 1T. I set it in BIOS with no problems, but all my reporting/benching tools still say it's 2T... ?

Yeah, I've read about that, apparently only 1 mobo can do 1T ATM. I forget which one though... ASUS P5something or other.. maybe here:http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mai...erclock_3.html
