Looks nice emoners dude but i think perhaps you can get a bit higher with that E6850 for 24/7, 'cause i can get that 24/7 clock with my E6750 but your cpu has 3.00GHz ground zero, perhaps you can get a bit higher but this is also good for 24/7, at least your GTX will have enough cpu backup...

thanks dude...it's just that i don't wanna raise more voltages since my room gets REALLY REALLY HOT & i can't afford watercooling ATM

Well, that explains it.. in my country it's freaking cold so i can play a bit but i understand it..don't bother even 3.6GHz is enough for 24/7, everything above that is just a bonus..

Anyone know how this board does with FSB limited cpu's? I have a naked e4300 that I want to do a suicide run with when I get this board. On my P5K it topped out at around 410 FSB, and I would like to be able to hit a bit higher. My board will be in on friday, so sat. will be my new win install (I can finally have ACHI with my rapter), and re-loop my WC'd stuff.

Anyone know if high PLL voltage can damage the M/B, or if the voltages just go to the cpu? I will have the NB on water, so it shouldn't get too hot, I just want to make sure that if I set a high PLL (which the e4300 needed for a little boost to FSB) that the worst it could do it kill the chip. It had gone to 3.2 at stock voltage, but the crappy goo between the core and IHS seemed to limit how high I could go.

    Hey guys!
Been here for a while, just mostly browse and gather info so figured I'd pop in and say high!

Have been trying to decide which MB to get for a while now and have a little less hair and a caffeine hangover from all of my searching and reading and trying to decide which to get

But, I finally hit the order button on the LanParty LT P35-T2R. Was between this board and a couple others and also between P35 and X38 chipsets and this board won out in my eyes

Hope to be getting the board by mid-week and I'm sure I'll be back with questions, have owned a DFI LP LanParty NF4 Ultra-D before and absolutely LOVED that board!! So hopefully my experience with this one will be just as enjoyable. Also plan to upgrade to a quad in the near future is why I decided to switch MB's; and just wasn't all that impressed with the 680i chipset.

    P35 & 45nm problems

As far as I'm trying to reach some high FSB on E8200 RETAIL it occur's that manual setting GTL values is crucial. What's more don't look at any GTL table (from AnadTech or EdgeOfStability) as for 45nm it doesn't work at all.

    f.e.
    8x525MHz, VTT 1.2V

GTL AUTO SETTINGS - NO BOOT (in a matter of fact with AUTO I have problems with FSB 475MHz..)
GTL SETTINGS FROM EDGE OF STABILITY - 85/85/85 - CRASH DURING LOADING OS
GTL - 76/75/76 - Error just after SPI 32M start.
    GTL - 73/72/73 - Error after LOOP1
    GTL - 70/69/70 - SPI 32M Calculation Is Done!

yep I agree with the above post. My GTL's are set to 70/70/70 and pass prime. On auto it insta-failed.

Thanks Weelkoo and nzbleach. MAJOR help.

I could not beleive that my chip sucked as bad as I thought, set GTL's way lower than I was, and bam, 4.2Ghz as a first try and 11.7 Sec SuperPI 1M untweaked.

    Now the fun starts.

Of course 65nm GTL tables are not going to work with 45nm processors. 45nm processors operate at a lower VTT so require different VTT and GTL tables.

With my Q6600 I honestly had so much issues with GTL's that I had better success without them, so I had them disabled.

Looks like 45nm is a different story. I am at 4.4Ghz and climbing right now with 70/69/70

This is all very interesting, and useful stuff guys... I ordered myself a QX9650 today aswell and im really hoping I can achieve smilar results.

Just wondering what bios you guys are all using? Is the latest beta 0901 any good, or should I stick with the official 1224. Currently on 1107 with my Q6600, which has been fine, but from what ive been reading there might be issues with that and 45nm CPU's.

The GTL ref stuff is still voodoo to me. Right now i'm getting 8x450 OCCT stable with 1.45v CPU and 1.50v FSB vtt and 1.5v NB. GTL refs are set to 115/115/115 respectively. I have read up on it as much as i can but it still does not make sense to me. I was never good at math. Can anybody else share their Q6600 overclocks and GTL ref settings? Mainly i want to know if my settings are appropriate. I know about safe temps and regular voltages. I am just wanting to make sure i don't have a slow unknown death because my GTL ref settings are out of wack.

I checked out Mr. Praz's settings but i see he is not adjusting GTL ref at all. At first with just NB and CPU voltage increases i would crash OCCT almost immediately so i'm thinking i actually NEED to tweak the GTL ref's for stability.

Looks like we're gonna need a new GTL table for 45nm procs.

A new table would make things a lot easier for most but perhaps the people that have 45nm CPU's could all post there vtt & GTL settings together with the % you calculate.

Most of us worked somewhere between 67 & 70% with the 65nm cpu's & from what I have seen so far perhaps somewhere between 55 & 58% would be about right with the 45's

    1.20v vtt x 0.55 = 66 GTL value

    1.25v vtt x 0.58 = 72/73 GTL value

I had GTL Reference disabled because of the BIOS I used. On three different boards, this is the first BIOS version I've been able to leave GTLs disabled and still not have excessive board voltages. Even with this BIOS version this only applies as long as VTT can be held low enough below VCORE.

Things need to shake out before there can be any type of table for GTL values for 45nm processors. What will be optimal now will depend on the BIOS used. The actual percentage of GTL based on VTT hasn't changed. The 45nm processors still adhere to the GTL+ specification of 67%. What has changed is the base requirement for VTT which also changes GTL. This throws the whole voltage table off. So far now, without the proper measuring equipment, most will be grappling about in the dark until a combination is hit upon that works.

will tweaking the gtl stuff actually help my oc very much? also, can someone explain the significance of the clockgen voltage adjustment? i have had theis q6600 since the price drop (april?), and i would like to break 4g on air before i get a 9450/9550 next month. i got around 3700 with the ip35 pro, now getting 3900 ish with the dfi. i dont know if this is prime95/orthos stable or whatev, but its stable enough to run say crysis or tf2 for several hours, and it hasnt crashed/hung yet even tho its on 24/7 because i am also using it for pvr right now.

I just recently got this board and am having some boot up issues with it. Often it won't even get to the C1 checking on the diagnostic check, it'll just have the lower right hand side of the digit 8 lit and then shut off. It seems to boot fine with my E2140 but can't get it to boot with my QX6700(only tried twice) and had issues with my E8400.

Anyone experience these issues at all? Am I making some noob mistake? It almost seems like it's a cpu pressure thing, but I've used 3 different air HSFs(never any consistent result), 1 waterblock(worked fine, but only after worked fine on air) and mounted my phase change to it and only would boot with the E2140 but not the E8400.

    Any tips?
