    good show!

the temps or DTS readings are off the way...a wide variance in readouts...they, intel, must have a problem with the 45nm chips to get consistent temp readings....if you are happy with the overclock, don't worry about the temp to much....

my replacement 9650 has a low VID and about 7C spread between the coretemps...AND...it doesn't like high vcore AT ALL!

same here...the Abit P35 Pro board is very good due to its price and performance ,I m expecting the same thing on Abit X48 board.

Looks ok, haven't cranked it up to find the limit yet, very happy in the IP35 though. 4GHz stable at 1.36v, VID is 1.0375v no idea if that's good for a 45nm. Temps on water in 25C room have settled down around 51C now, runs quite cool considering. 4GB of ballistix as well.

Which one are you referring too? In general a reference voltage is a fixed voltage that doesn't change regardless of the device loading. The VID is a reference loadline voltage, means it changes on a slope (thermal profile)or line if its enabled. The vcore follows the loadline.

I'm referring to the CPU/DDR reference voltage. The default value is 67% so what does it give if we set it lower/higher?

hello everyone, can someone tell me the differnce between the CPU VVT and the VCore? I notice many people turn up their VCore to achieve high clocks but what about the CPU VVT? Any point of raising the CPU VVT?

I am currently running 400x9@3.6 w/ VCore 1.4025 in bios and CPU VVT 1.20 under water and would like to know the most efficient way to hit 4.0Ghz +

my original 9650 had the same VID but the replacement 9650 is kind of a stinker chip...it has a VID of 0.9625v...from all that i have read, a chip with a low VID does not overclock very well....that has proven out with mine...once i start putting the vcore above 1.46 and run wPrime stability bnch, the PWM goes into warning zone for temp...it's the FIRST time that has EVER happened on my Pro board...never happened with my Q6600 B3 or G0 chip and it didn't happen with my 1st 9650...this su*ks!

i dont get this board. I wake up this morning and again it again refuses to boot with 4X1Gb. WTF. No voltage change or timing change helps, it just refuses. Would 2X2Gb be easier on the board than 4X1Gb?

Maybe you have bad ram or a bad board. I've never had any problems with 4x1GB at speeds 500+.

I thought the same thing and wated the $$ on the GeminiII. PMW temps actually went up and cpu temps gained a bunch vs the TRUE with the same fans. I was surprised as I was also able to add the 4th 120mm fan back into the side of my Stacker that has to come out with the TRUE. The GeminiII looks good on paper but doesn't deliver, at least in my system.

I have never had a problem with 4x1 with my Crucials. I do run 1.65 on the ICHIO and 1.44 MCH. Check your ram as it could be the culprit.

    Revisions ?

What is the difference between this motherboards revisions?
For example ClubIT is selling Rev 1.1 What makes this different then say Rev1.0 ?
I searched Abit's site for a break down of Revisions but came up empty
    EDIT: according to Ace-a-Rue

Also do you think they will come out w/ a revision that will take care of or implement Ace-a-Rue's Heatpipe Mod?

Slicker Version of the Heatpipe Mod

Use screw covers......Much better looking and probably much safer than the original method.....
