Damn 2,4V for CPU and 3,4V RAM,100% sure that they aren't in lack of volts
When can you give performance screens?
I think there is an OVP at 1.9V so I don't really know why they allow up to 2.4V through BIOS.
Here are some initial results with Prime95 V25.5 Blend test:
Max FSB in Cinebench 9.5 (nice application for checking stability, if it passes it can most likely pass 3DMark06 aswell):
CPU-Z shows about 0.1V lower than the DMM.
BIOS Voltage settings except for Vcore and Vmem:
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.60V
CPU VTT Voltage: 1.50V
NB Core Voltage: 1.20V
SB Core Voltage: 1.60V
1.2V HT Voltage: 1.40V
Bridge Core Voltage: 1.20V
CPU + NB GLT_REF = Auto

What about max FSB with quad?![]()

Yes, and no![]()
Previously there were some issues with two cores running at a lower multiplier however today I got the new 0901 bios which solves that issue. Look at the screens below and notice how the Cinebench-score is higher.
But there is still some problems with multipliers over 11x. Up to 11x works without any problems at all, but with 12x-13x multipliers you are capped to a maximum of about 325MHz FSB. 14x and up won't even post.
More Cinebench 9.5 testing multipliers and max FSB beneath:
Maximum FSB with 10x multiplier and probably max with any other multiplier aswell:
Max with 10.5x multiplier:
Max with 11x multiplier:
Max with 12x multiplier:
Max with 13x multiplier:

Thank you for your info about Striker II formula.
I thought I might upgrade my Striker Extreme to this one but I see there are some overclocking issues here ...![]()
Any problems with dual channel DDR2 or loosing two cores?
Mentioned here.

Hi have u tried running w/ all 4 dimms? Sometimes my pc would just random freeze @ post screen (LED "TESTMEM") after restarting it
Edit: btw yet another - bios 0101 (??) dated 1/17/2008 just released.

Edit: nvm just tested it - core#2 & #3 back to 6x multi - back to 0902 bios then

Funny you are prime stabile with 500fsb.
Over here i'm prime stabile with fsb 445 with 2x80 mm blowing on the NB-heatsink and the 2 asus fans on the mosfett-heatsinks.
Do you use extra cooling on the heatsinks?
Without it im only stabil @ fsb 420
These boards need watercooling !!

No, i dont know on p35
But even with lower mp the fsb wont go higher.
I also cant give more than 1.4v-1.5v on the NB, any higher wil cause instability, overheating problem i guess.
I wonder what temps the extra 2.0 chip have?
Maybe its ok to cool that with a simple heatsink and pull the nb/sb under water?
Who knows
Would you post NB/SB temps ?

It could be cpu fsb wall, try higher CPU PLL Voltage = 1.8V. If you get higher with that than with 1.5V then it's the cpu which can't do more fsb. 1.4-1.5vNB works best for me aswell.
Temps from bios with 1.3vNB and 1.65vSB:
NB = 55*C
SB = 49*C
The TODO-list is all checked. 0101-bios fixed the problem with low fsb when using 12x and 13x multipliers however the issue with core 1+2 working at 6x multiplier came back just as stated previously in this thread. I had no issues using 4x dimms at 500mhz 5-5-5-15 with 400mhz fsb and overclocking with 8x gives the same fsb as with 10x, which means that maximum stable fsb was 410.

Do you plan to do any testing with standard E6x50 series processor?
Just to see what the board can do with a G0 dual core with a high single digit mulit?

Haha stupid me
My ram was holding me from higher FSB :P
I went from 2 GB to 4 GB 2 months ago, didn't realized that i couldnt run it that high as with 2gb (altough not tested wit more than 2.4v)
Now running unlinked with ram@ 800
Just broke my record4050mhz with my E6600 (450x9) orthos stabil 1hour
Now see what FSB this baby realy can do
NB is 65`c in bios (idle) with 1.42v @ 27`c roomtemp
SB is 48'c in bios (idle)
I report back with better scores i promise !
Man do i love this board all of the sudden![]()

i just ordered one. some of you may already have seen my speak about mobo's playing PCIe lane games, and also disabled memory slot games when a PCIe raid card is installed (read:: asus maximus).
i pulled the trigger because the ESA platform looks pretty promising, and i like the integratedness with my nvidia vid card in windows. i really cant pull away from the under-the-hood architecture that ive seen when compared to other boards of the same (and different) manufacturers.
ill post up some notes when i get it in, but as a taste of where im coming from - my vanilla 680i was almost stable in windows (full prime95 load) with my G0 Q6600@3.6ghz with a 1.33 vcore. sadly the damn thing squealed like a little kid when volting higher, to such a degree i had to replace it.
for the glory of bardob!
