Contrary to what some may claim, almost without exception, facing continual C1 errors comes down to timings or voltages not being spot on.

Does anyone happen to know if a Coolermaster Hyper 212 heatsink fits on these mbs?

Last time I checked, ebuyer were the only place stocking them. Not sure how they got them though as at the time of release, DFI didn't have a UK distributor.

Loving this board, GTLREF's make such a difference, 81 over 80 @ 1.20 VTT is enough to get stable @ 3.6Ghz quad

    Working CPU volts down next

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

Mekrel you have this board? Where did u get yours? Noticed Ebuyer have them. Sureley you want more than 3.6 on your water setup?

Yup I do, but I'm just playing at the moment I got mine from America before Ebuyer stocked them.

Guys, is it possible that the GTLREF settings for cores 0/1 2/3 aren't always stable at the same value?

81 for both cores with VTT @ 1.20 and 2 of the cores failed, so I've put 0/1 to 82. I suppose my current prime run will let me find out

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

It's seldom that the cores will be happy with identical GTL settings.

Thanks Praz, still didn't like it and further change meant it failed quicker. I'm going back to previous values and running 66% GTLREF on NB, to rule that out.

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

As said, at the moment ebuyer is the only place. But OC/UK could well be going back to stocking the range of DFI mobo's in the near future as well. Have a read here.

Edit: Straight in at 3.6 at seems to be priming away happily, 266/667, 1.43 vCPU, 1.5vMCH, 1.43VTT 100,100,100. Think I'll work around this for now, with case fans set to low the NB gets up to 57 and I'm randomly losing control over my mouse which I think may be linked. Although it does come back and then goes when prime starts a higher iteration. See if I can work voltages down, once I've got the NB in my loop ill push on up.

Thanks for the excellent thread guys, Praz, C-N, Brotha and the rest, give yourselves a tap on the back

I'll try to answer this. 1.8 is the JDEC standard for ddr2 ram in other words to comply with the standard all ram should run at 1.8v. however in the real world ram manufacturers want to have the fastest ram (more money same modules). so they increase the voltage to attain stability at high clockspeeds.

boards on the otherhand, almost always default to 1.8~1.9v that should be enough to boot any ram that complies with the standard.

since my post. DFI added some memory compatibility into the bios, now my 10th boots easier also. though I am currently using OCZ ram.

I knew this is the thread for UT P35 but I cant find other suitable thread for my mobo.

I'm using DK P35-T2RS and I believe the bios option is almost same as UT P35. I'm kinda confuse with the Ch1 & Ch2 thinggy...

As you can seen from the picture above, the Ch1 consist of DIMM1 & 2 whereas Ch2 consist of DIMM3 & 4.

For the DK P35, the first orange slot is DIMM 1 and next to it which is the first yellow slot is DIMM 2... whereas the second orange slot is DIMM 3 and last is DIMM 4.

If I install my 2x1gb crucial 10th Anni on both the orange slot which is DIMM 3 and DIMM 4, does it mean that I need to adjust the setting for both Ch1 & Ch2?

Yeah I know that mate, I was referring to Crucial 10th Anniversary alone. Some SPD's say 2.2v for 533 3-3-3-12 and some (like mine) say 1.8v but I thought these were one off limited edition sticks with all the same PCB's and chips on.

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

Hi every one , i'm trying to reach my Q6600 to 3.8 ghz , I use settings from anandtech review , max for the moment 3.7 ghz stable , and got a screen shot @ 3.8 ghz .

After upping Vcore to 1.52v , no change . boot in vista , use setfsb and blue screen.

    I boot in vista @ 3.7 ghz 410 x 9 .

Is this the max of my cpu ??

    I use a TRUE 120 xtrem lapped, Q6600 lapped too, and 2gb of Super talent pc6400 4-4-3-8

A bit of a typo in your question... the orange slots (Channel 1) are DIMM 1 and DIMM 3, but it's still a good question.

It looks like the BIOS screen is dealing with Channel 1 settings and then Channel 2 settings, but it lists DIMM1 / DIMM2 and then DIMM3 / DIMM4 instead of DIMM1 / DIMM3 then DIMM2 / DIMM4. It seems like the BIOS may be mislabled?

EDIT: Or am I confused about which slots make up a channel? I always assumed each 'channel' was made up from the same colored slots.
