Challenge the limitation of Quad-core CPU-DFI LANParty DK P35 First Look

This DFI Dar P35 is better with the Quad Core ?

I Test the Lan party & Blood Iron with my X3210 B3 , max fsb 500 , same problem with Asus P5K3 , Blitz Extreme ...

But with Asus P5K simple , same setting and cooling : max 527mhz

I would like the news DK for test my X3210

I updated to the new BIOS.. so far so good.

I'm only experiencing one strange problem:

When I boot, it will hang on the BIOS artscreen... and resetting the PC makes it skip the hang.

Wierd.

I think it was because I had a USB drive running while booting.

It seems like the performance is the same with the P965. Pretty much the same settings in the BIOS with my e6600, 400 x 9 Ram running at 804mhz. evga 8800GTS 320 oc

Pii = both 14.047 32M
3Dmark06 = 10492 (p35) to 10476 (p965)
3dmark05 = 18305 (p35) to 18280 (p965)
3dmark03 = 35504 (p35) to 35524 (p965)

I can actually run the memory higher on this board then my p965 and will probably be able to get more "juice" out of the CPU. I haven't had much time to mess with it.

I got mine from NCIX and its also the all Solid Cap Version! we should set up an official thread for Bios updates and settings, like the other boards have.

what are the major difference between this board and the more expensive LT and UT P35 boards. Ive had quite enough of Asus and am looking for something that is rock solid for 400X9 w/ 4GB of DDR2 1000. Im not on a quad right now but in the future im sure i will be.

Same question, someone with this board + qx9650 ? I have LP UT version, but its rev a1 and buggy with qx9650 .

I do not have QX9650 in hand, unable to test the motherboard...
but I suggest if you have issue or problems with motherboard,
you should send it to their RMA service for repairing.

can anyone for sure tell me the differences between this and the blood iron? i still can not get a straight answer anywhere i look.. everyone always says its something different? i am just trying to see if the extra 60$ is justified in the dark vs the blood iron.. thanks in advance

the layout of the board is diff then the blood iron, higher quality components on the Dark...better cooling, it seems everyone who is ordering right now is getting the all soild cap version, id go for this over the blood iron but 60 bucks is also another 2 gig of ram or an upgrade from 8800gt to GTS, my vote still goes for the Dark

...and the Blood Iron is Fugly!

Of this board, and the LT P35, which do you think would be better for 24/7 O/Cing? I plan to get either the e8500 or the Q9450. With the q9450 I would need a higher fsb to hit 4g. What other differences would make this worthwhile over the LT, or vice-versa.

I have the same problem! Not sure which one to trust. On my P965 board smart guardian and coretemp were the same. Now core temp is 10c lower the smart guardian. I think coretemp is more accurate but what do it know

Hey Rfisher what are your temps sitting at for your 6600? my little 4500 is hitting 62 @ 3200 1.4v..im thinking i need to reseat the TRUE120?

my cpu is lapped. +250.0mv or 1.52 running at 29c idle and 58c load using core temp. I also have a very good air cooling case with 11 or 12 120mm fans in it

Interested in this mobo too but can't find much user info on Q6600 overclocks anywhere, is the 4 phase supply sufficient for >3.6GHz clocks?
