if you put the low hr-07 duo next to the nb HS then you will be ok.

to address the floppy power on the board, I found an adapter that came with my hx620 that had 2 floppy power from one 4 pin molex, I used this (see pics in build log in sig) it works perfect with minimal clutter

no, there is one by each of the 16x pci-e slot, you have only one circled.

the circle by the sb hs is not a floppy connector

I just made these today to deal with it, from an old PSU that blew, I cut and kept the wiring, should work out OK, I am not a cable management kind of guy, so will work for me.

Nice.. Thanks for the idea. I'll think I'll copy that. I was going to buy one but I know I've got some dead/obsolete psu's laying around.

I've finally had time to play with my replacement board, but it looks like the crazy voltage issues I had before are still there. Maybe it's the BIOS, but certain settings have unexpected results. I'm pretty sure that's what killed my last board as at one point all my voltages were reading at 2.03. On this new board, I found that both 1.543 and 1.555 on the NB are broken. When I chose it, the one time I was able to get into the BIOS my NB voltage read at 1.8 and the jump in temps reflected the change. I should have taken a pic when I saw it, but didn't. I'm pretty sure it's not a fluke as a fully stable system will not boot when I change from 1.530 to either 1.543 or 1.555. So be careful choosing voltages, double check in the BIOS or with a multimeter after each change. Hopefully it's just a BIOS problem.

Unable to reproduce the voltage issue. If anything the board slightly undervolts at these settings.

Thanks for the follow up praz, nice to know it may be just a glitch.

Boy I am impatient to get on this board, I should have not been such a cheapskate with shipping on my video cards.

Praz, what BIOS are you using? I'm on the 12/18 (same as the last board).

No problems with 4x1GB 8500 Tracers here. Will boot with all 4 sticks in at stock BIOS values.

1.530 and 1.579 work. Everything in between gives me weird values. Also, the GTL setting for the NB always reverts to 110 (it was at 115 with the others before I rebooted)

Most likely sensor error although there could be issues with the divider circuit. You will have to take a voltage reading to know for sure.

I'm not so sure it's just a sensor error as the first screen with my 24/7 voltages won't boot if I select 1.555 but will if I choose 1.579. I think I'll just avoid those settings

Also, have you checked the other voltage readings? Just wondering how much of a difference between BIOS setting and actual there is. I don't have a working one or I'd check myself.

4ghz is what killed my dominator, or at least the pursuit of 4ghz...

    I'm at 3.681 24/7 stable with my new ram (1gb ballistix 6400 x 4)

in my case it is confirmed that in x64 os 4 sticks is more stable than 2 at FSB = 460

EDIT: i use an 80 on the NB, 60 is too small, doesn't cool sufficiently

I made up a few of these Y-connectors quite a while ago. They come in handy for any board that haver one or two floppy connectors for additional power.

Can use the same points I posted for the P35. CPU GTL components and traces have been rerouted but the MOSFETs are on the same area of the board.

yup those Y connectors are useful. Corsair PSUs come with one of these.
Anyway I just bought the motherboard on hpm computers, it should arrive in about 2 weeks then I can start testing
