    Nice clocking the @ AmdDeathstar!!

Latest bios @ 704 perhaps shows signs that isnt really a ht wall 230-240 but perhaps bios limited? If so progression should be even better as problems only virtual!

Lookforward to getting this mobo + Black edition in January

I also have the Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe WiFi. One thing I'm still trying to figure out that worries me is the temps on TMPIN2 CPUID Hardware Monitor (TMPIN3 in AMD OVerDrive) get way out there. Enough to scare me. I was noticing crazy temps on your TMPIN2 also in your screenshots. Anyone on the forums know what TMPIN2 is reading and if it should be something to worry about?

My OC experiences so far with the Phenom 9500... AMD OverDrive utility is crap atm. I've been only having success with OCing via bios.

BTW: Yes, I'm running 3 Geforce cards on this mobo in the screenshot. I'm a surround screen gamer, not a SLI/Crossfire gamer.

After messing around in bios for an hour, I think I'm going to try 11x237 (2.6Ghz) for a bit. I simply can't figure out how to get over 240 on the bus. Any suggestions? Everything about this platform atm is "beta". No voltage settings work right. I have to auto everything voltage.

    Hey Terwin

The third temp is video card, sometimes it reads properly nothing to worry about

To get pass 237 I had to use 704 bios bingo13 supplied earlier in this thread
With 704 I hit the wall at 252

I also lost the use AOD, still trying to figure out why

Nice, I just started where I hit a brick wall on 0701 bios. I'm starting from 11x241 and am walking up from there.

Here is a pic of my torture rack. It's rather thrown together. The mobo mount is actually the mobo tray from a Cooler Master case and the cooling for the video card slots are 2 120mm fans mounted to an old Danger Den rad fan mount I had sitting around. The big 120mm sitting in front of the current CPU cooler is a Delta TFB1212GHE 220cfm which sounds like a blow dryer. It's gonna sit back there till I get the Rev.B AM2 mounting adapter for my ThermalRight XP-120 that I'll put in. The Delta fan is overkill, but keeps the mobo and cpu temps about the same at load (TMPIN1 46 TMPIN2 31) as idle (TMPIN1 40, TMPIN2 30). IMHO, thats some impressive air cooling. The trade off is REALLY annoying noise. I plan on getting a fan control to address that rpm speed (8400 rpms) on that 120mm fan. Whatever works I guess.

    Minor update on my OC:
With the 0704 bios update, it's the first time I've successfully been able to post with vcore and core to NB volt set to other than auto. Both are currently at 1.4v. Not messed at all with ram volts, as I've got some cheap 2GB (2x1GB) of Kingston 667 economy ram in the machine atm running at auto (1.8v). Anyone got OC info settings on Kingston 99U5316-017.A00LF ram?

Another small update: I've successfully gotten it to post at 255 and boot into windows at 252. Currently stable for me is 246. I'm doing a 6 hour burn in of AOD's "stability" test on it atm. If I could figure out what a lot of these bios settings mean I could probably get a bit further.

I still have nearly the same problem, if you read the AMD Overdrive thread you will see my M3A with very strange readings.

TMPIN2 is usually your SUPER I/O chip temperature.
TMPIN1 is usually your NB temperature.
TMPIN3 is a dead sense reads the same on most MBs.

It's because you tried oc'ing the NB. Over 9x multi on yet released Phenom is not possible, it'll give you bugged results that you probably won't be able to validate. Drop it down to 9x and your values will go back to correct.

Correct figures for above ss are:
Your CPU/RAM is running what CPU-Z reports.
Your NB is running same as the HT reported in CPU-Z.

Working with BIOS 0801 right now, if stable, will post up in the morning, we are going to skip the 0707 and head for the eight series I think...

From Asus-Support. I recieved betas from them too, but i stopped communication with them, after the 0701 beta, bcs. they can't fix my problems with the board.

ASUS engineering..... As posted earlier, the BIOS is safe and is now available at the ASUS FTP link, will see if 0803 is stable enough to let go, working on memory clocking with the X2s, been a fine line to walk between Phenom improvements and not screwing around with the X2s.

A small update on my progress. I would NOT recommend the ThermalRight XP-120 for this mobo. The passive cooling parts of the mobo make it a total pain to use this heatsink. To get this heatsink to fit I had to to flip it around 180 degrees from usual. Also had to remove the ramsink because of clearance issues. The ramsink could be used if I used a dremel to notch out one piece but I'd rather not.

Be mindful of clearance issues with the passive cooling parts of this mobo when picking a heatsink.

I had to special order a ThermalRight mounting adaptor for AM2. That took a few days to get in.

    XP-120+Delta and slot cooling mounted:

Bah, just branch the bios. One speedy bios for X2, one speedy bios for Phenom, instead of 1 so-so bios for all.

Does this work ok with the wifi version?
