really? you've been looking for a vcore mod on that board?

yes i have been stalking you, and yes my sarcasm is running rampant this morning. something about going back to work after two weeks off has me acting like a jackass.

    Is there a difference between 7df and 7dfin ?

    Because i have a test in a magazine with 7df ,
and a p35 blitz extreme they max was
    938 mhz with 7-7-7-21 timings

When i read the article i have found the answer :

7df is without xmp and 7dfin is with xmp ,
and the x38 is better fore ddr3 and p35 better fore ddr2

This is the online version ,but i have a magazine with more info :

Sweet write-up, 3oh6 Not only CAS7 and CAS8 results you managed are great but also two thumbs up for the editing, man! You put a lot of effort into testing and piecing together your report, including great attention to images you take! I like your style a lot!

I might have missed it, but how far is your set up capable to go on FSB? Is 2052 Max due to motherboard/CPU limitation or more voltage did not help at all anymore?

Thanks for sharing your experience with Dominators

thanks Michal, i really appreciate that coming from you. i have to admit, my style has been pieced together from many other people...you being a heavy influence.

the setup is definitely capable of more FSB, 540FSB shouldn't be a problem for benching on air, might need to go cold for more though as this CPU runs out of gas there. i am just having problems feeding volts to my kits just yet (call me a pansie, its true), as you can see from the Ballistix report. i might do some single 32M runs with a bit more voltage as it started to feel like the chipset was running out of steam at 1026MHz.

    **edit**
i just happened to finish a 2 hour run of HCI Memtest with every single drop of available memory being used at 1000MHz 8-7-6 so i figured i would add that to this report as well...pretty damn impressive for 'only' 2.13v IMO.

    michal!
    havent seen you in ages
    how are things going?

    jody/i/j (?)
maybe you cant get the same fsb while pushing the mem at the same time, i noticed that with different dividers=lower mem speed, i could get slightly higher fsbs stable, so maybe michal is right and you were fsb limited? cant wait to see some subzero results

    Excellent work Jody.

Tell me something.. how long did this all take you including the testing?

    Be honest

interesting, never thought it would play a role. no real way to find out though so we'll just have to see what i can manage when i push these sticks.

thanks mate, i really couldn't tell you how long i spend on each kit i do a report for but it is substantial. there are probably 80+ dual 32M runs made in total and a good two 8+ hour days doing photos and writing up the report. if i had to estimate i would say at least a solid 30 hours if not closer to 40 or 50 with all the dual 32M runs.

    Thumbs up

10 out of 10 points & gold award for this review !!! Excellent !

Must have been taken weeks of testing out all those settings.......

Though I'm quite happy with my Cellshocks I orderd a pair today - deep inside my rotten soul I feel the urge to max them out and I wanna try this XMP thingie......

    If nothing works nomore......:

haha, thanx man but the XMP profile shouldn't be the reason for trying a kit of this memory for someone like yourself who can handle a BIOS.

i was just quite surprised that any Joe-blow could grab a kit of XMP memory and when they stuck it in the Maximus Extreme it would run these sticks at spec frequency/timing, without any input at all from the end user. and not just 7-7-7 DDR3-1800 spec but PL6 and 1N as well...very aggressive but 100% stable on my setup. sure beats my experiences with EPP profiles.

Not the reason - but I wanna see if & how it works. Will do some tests then with 4 GB RAM mixed up (Corsair / Cellshock) - maybe it works on this board and if it works it would be funny to find out the XMP reaction......., think I has to be disabled then - but who knows........

Since we have the same Motherboard and the same memory. Can you help me to reach a higher and stable frequency for my memory?

    Thank you so much
