Did you check if your firmware on the dvd drive is up2date?
some drives screw up on some type of discs when firmware is outdated.

hm. I don't think i downloaded new drivers for RAID. I guess i used the make RAID boot disc util on the CD that came with the mobo.

if you want me to check for versions numbers, let me know where to look
btw, i'm not running intel's matrix storage driver.

That's funny, because I can't get EZFlash to find my USB drive no matter how I set it up. I have used Asusupdate with no problems so far, except that after updating to 0902 and then 0903 and now 0907 AISuite doesn't run (which I don't really care about, but just curious)

I doubt that. Tweak windows = 10% gain?

I'm guessing you are using a 333 strap, what divider are you on? I can't check for myself, won't boot at 333 I'm not sure about the math either. so just tell me!

from the looks of it, i'm running tighter ram, but the divider comes into play i suppose.

I'm not calling you a liar, not at all. I simply want to figure out were i could be losing 10%..... Are you sure you ran that score with your sig's rig?

I got tired of making DVD-R coasters so I tried 3 times to burn to DVD-R/W at 4x. This succeeded all three times. Is it possible the ISO image is bad?

burn something else. I've experienced problems with some "unburnable" images myself...

did you ever succeed burning whatever you are burning in the past?

yes, it worked 1 out of first 4 coasters, so it isn't the image.

try lowering 42 to 30, maybe 25. I've experienced less latency with the everest benchmark with that

their programmers are all over the place.... This is my second consecutive ASUS board and both run smoother without the asus crap installed. It boggles the mind.

Yea I'll check it out....still going for max frequency ATM. TImings doesn't really do much for Intel bandwidth.....latency goes down some as you said.
Here is a bit of stability.....normally when it goes this far without errors then it will.....go.....all....the......way!

stability with memtest? why not use OCCT, prime95?

btw, did you get nice temp drops with the nozzles for the d-tek?

Well I installed the nozzle when I first installed the block, so I had no standard for comparison :p
I use HCI Memtest to test the memory only....it will kick out an error faster than OCCT for memory only. I've already stability tested the hell out of my CPU at 3.8......plus I was browsing the internet and listening to music so I needed some CPU power. It says %100 in task manager, but it will allow other programs to take over around %5 CPU usage.....and I reserver around 15Mb or so of memory for my use.

Hi,

my Temperatures of Southbridge and Northbridge are a bit hi, i think.

Q6600/G0@3.4GHz@1.39_vC@1.47_NB@1.05_SB@428x8

Power/Idle Temp

NB: 65/54°C
SB: 54/50°C

is that ok or to hot? im using SE variant without watercooling, but i blow with 2x 60mm Fan's to the Headsink.

Does anyone know, how are the thermal specifikation from intel for north-/southbridge?

is that ok or to hot? im using SE variant without watercooling, but i blow with 2x 60mm Fan's to the Headsink.

Does anyone know, how are the thermal specifikation from intel for north-/southbridge?
That is very high... My NB temps never used to go above 45c even on the Fusion Block edition of the board.

Alright, well I've ordered a heatsink lapping kit, so I will give that a try on monday.
Just orderd a lapping kit myself, hope it will drop temps 5 degrees or so.
I made a few changes to my water loop, setup a push pull and that made a nice 3-5 degree drop in temps, I also added a Corsair ram cooler and I must say what a huge piece of , you would think from Corsair it would be better quality. It's comming out today.

Unless you're running your system in a really hot room, that's EXTREMELY hot........I would check your case cooling or something.....doesn't really seem right. I don't think my temps would be that hot if I pointed my heater directly at my intake fans....
