Welllllll, in the spirit of full disclosure, here's an update.

Had some serious gaming duty this past week. AND, I noticed that my chipset loop EK res cracked again! But, I caught it before anything leaked (more about that in a minute). Again, I think it's my fault ... don't think I can get away with running the MCR220 with low fans. So, ordered a new EK top/reservoir combo from Performance PCs.

Draining the res and preparing to put on the new top, and I did this:




Yes, I know ... I should be the poster girl of "How Not to Water Cool!!!" I've done this same drill 3 times before with no problems. And everything was going fine this time ... then I dropped the container with the drained coolant.

Oh yeah ... the carpet is less than 6 months old. Good news is, it's being ripped out in a month as part of a major remodeling project.
