like the voltages, all of my screenshots in the Dominator OC Report have Everest bandwidth/latency tests in them as well as Memset.

there is more to bandwidth than just the memory timings. PerformanceLevel as well as strap play a role as well. this is a screenshot of basically 900MHz at 7-6-5:

    http://www.3oh6.com/forum_posted/rev.../7-6-5-x-2.png

PL is 6 as seen in Memset and it is on the 266 strap with AI Twister on Strong. this is pretty much the best bandwidth you can get at these clocks on the Maximus Extreme. because it won't run a PL value more than 1 value less than CL, PL6 is the lowest it will run with CL7. HTH

    Chip dependant and cooling impacted...

Best I have seen with a quad has been the QX9650 at FSB 528 with a multi of 6 as published in this months CPU magazine...

This board shines in other areas such as the dual 16x lanes and stability. Im not saying this board wont hit the same levels as the p35 but from what I have encountered from the quad core side I wouldn't expect a huge leap in top end FSB.

Again this board is a great board and has a great deal to offer the enthusiast besides a high FSB.

Infa: Maybe ill jump to X48, im a little pissed on this board actually, wolfdale and x48 will launch about the same time so..
Regarding the earlier comment about waiting for the x48. It is my understanding that the x48's are simply high binned x38's so im not sure it is wise to wait for the x48 instead water cool your x38 chipset and bump up the voltage a bit to compensate if needed.

It seems I have my 8800GTX and Antec Quattro Problem back (just found out today to be a confirmed compatability issue with Antec). I had this prob with build in sig, with games in Steam not displaying right. I rma'd the psu and things were fine until the new build. Anyway, ordered 2 3870's today, hopefully that'll see the end to that.
This might explain the errors I'm seeing with a high overclock!?
    New System : I5 2500K, P8P67 Pro, 2gig Cellshocks 1800 (some ripjaws on order), 2x Powercolor 4870's, 120gig Vertex 3 SSD, Corsair AX 1200W PSU, Swiftech Watercooling.

    Old System : QX9650 @ 450x9.5 (4275ghz), Maximus Extreme (Bios 1001), 2gig Cellshocks 1800 1:2 (7-7-7-15), 2x Powercolor 4870's, X-fi, 2x 32gig Mtron SSD's (Raid 0), Antec 1KW Quattro PSU, Swiftech Watercooling.

3870's play nicely with this board.
I am coming very close to 23,000 in 3dmark06 with stock air cooled HIS 3870's in crossfire...

    @peterpiper :
in my case it is the memory - i spent a long time with the guys from OCZ-support... and I tried varios settings... no chance - as soon as I set the mem to 1600MHz - bsod ...
Now I am waiting to change my RAMs - gonna get those cellshocks 1800 - but unfortunatly they are out of stock at the moment... so I´ll gonna wait till they are back ( those cellshocks ) and keep my OCZs @ ~1300MHz

Yes, i know its almost no change to x48, just want to change my board, its not a stable one i think...very hard to keep a good OC that was piece of cake on my Commando, im dissapointed.. maybe they have fixed som minor baby bugs that are in X38 that we dont know of...it is a new NB afterall.

From 4ghz stable 8x500 or 9x445, to crashing at the first second of orthos even below 3.9 on this board, and hitting 500 more that bootable are impossible. and now im stuck with the crap .

Im starting to think as someone above said with the instability of the Crosslink chip, maybe Dual x16 lanes AND dual X8 chip are not so good together at higher clocks.. may interfer or so?

    1) Whats the maximum recommended voltages for 24-7 usage on water (NB, mosfet and SB and CPU on water) for:

    CPU PLL
    Northbridge Voltage
    DRAM (4x1GB D9GTRs Cellshock 1800) with active cooling (2.0V) ?
    FSB Termination
    Southbridge
    SB 1.5V

for 24-7 ... not suicide benches

    2) Is it possible to run 1T with 4x1GB sticks? Is so how? NB volts up and DRAM volts up ?

    Thanks. Would appreciate any help

Seems way too high for me I would have said 1.76 max for 24x7 but that was just my gut feeling I don't have anything to back that up...

Also for DDR3 is 2.25 really safe for 24x7 with fan cooling? I would say no more than 2 volts at least for my Crucial
    Just my 2 cents...

I've got the Cellshocks and they appear to be a good match to this Board. I'm running 450x8, 7,7,7,15 @ Auto (2.00v Everest). Memtest 86 is okay, Superpi 32M Crashes (but seems to at looser timings too, anyway I gather not an uncommon problem).

Question to other posters with the Cellshocks, are you sure 2.00volts is okay with active cooling?

Very nice I can run my Crucials at 8-7-7-14 1t at real 1.9 (Everest) but they wont run 7-7-7-15 at real 2.0 and I refuse to go any higher on the vDimm with the Crucials because to be honest I dont think they can take the voltage.
