Anyway, every cloud has a silver lineing and Im now using a Asus Maximus and its much better with my qx9650. Votage is stable with almost no vdroop. C1e works, half mutlipliers work, and Im now running at 4.2Ghz @ 1.49v - my IP35pro would not even boot vista at that speed even when I put the actual voltage up to 1.55 (prob cos it vdrooped so much)

So from my experience - I would recommend the maximus anyone with a qx9650. Other chips appear ok with the ip35, the biggest pain is that vdroop.

don't know why you couldn't get it to be stable but as you can see my 9650 worked beautifully (XP SP2) up to 4400 mhz on the IP35 Pro...AND...i was using lower vcore!....did you do the heatpipe mod and did you upgrade the bios to 16.B04???
