loosen up the torque on the bolts to see if that helps...i torqued down my bolts fairly tight...no springs!

i would suggest that you re-evaluate your cpu heatsink mount.

The heatsink mount on the CPU is the spring/plunger type like that on the Intel Retail HSF unit. my last mount did produce better contact, but not as good as i've seen in the past. even on an un-lapped CPU.

Did you have to do any bending on your heatpipes? My guess is no. I can't apply very much torque to the bolts before the board starts to flex. I'm still messing with it..............
