    That's an impressive first build! I like the way you installed your Swiftech reservoir. Did you purchase some Plexiglas and cut it to fit?

    Ok, I was going to ask the above question until I noticed that you cut the Swiftech mount from 1/4" Plexiglas using a CO2 Laser. I'll have to analyze my options to see if I can come up with a solution.

    No, the only way it's incorrect is to have the input facing down, so it has to suck water upwards.

    THe Only pump that has a MFR warning against that orientation that I am aware of is Iwaki...but I mounted my RD30 in that postion and it was fine. I have mounted a number of D-5 that way without ill effect.
