Of course CPU is oveclocked but that is nothing to write home about as my CPU is not the best...
You're probably right, I also get the feeling Patriot are giving me the run around

I contacted ASUS support and they said all 4 slots should be able to run the RAM @ 1600Mhz so you can all breathe a sigh of relief now knowing that the 1333Mhz "limit" was either confusion between the DDR2/DDR3 combo boards (P35 ones) or a party line spun by Patriot.

Patriot are now talking about raising NorthBridge Voltage etc. Seriously what is a safe air cooled NBridge Voltage @ 333Mhz FSB (1333Mhz RAM) and what would be the recommendation for 1600Mhz?

I'm just a bit wary of burning the thing out at stock!

    Thanks

    Thanks! 804 was hell!

Now to see if it is better then 501, because I was getting random BSODs. Need to test my ram maybe.

Also, did I mention how much I hate ASUS site.

I just went there and it shows BIOSES showing the 504 as the latest for P5E3 WI/FI and 402 as the latest for P5E3Dlx.

These guys at asus should really revamp their site, sincerely it blows considering the money they are making, and when you search for an update is like going into a random lottery...

Any RS links for the latest bioses, so I can update the first page with the links so all the guys here would be ableto quickly download?

    Thanks guys!

Sorry for a stupid question: how could I downgrade from 0804/0704 BIOS to earlier versions? AsusUpdate under windows with "downgrade" option ON don't want to flash. AFUDos 2.11 & 2.17 hang system on "Advance check". Build-in EZ-Flash also do not want to downgrade to earlyer version

Asus removed the 804 and everything upto 504 from their site.. i guess we are stuck with either 804 or 704 till they come up with something new..

is anyone running Corsair 1800Mhz DDR3 with this board? i'm asking cuz i cant get the RAM to run in 7.7.7.20 with 704 and 804 was a total disaster.

right now running my QX9650 at 450x9 if i can get timing to run solid then i can relax..

We are all the victims of Asus programmers vile experiments
I could run my CellShock at 1800 8-7-6-21 2,00v, but its unstable in Prime. I'm wondering why I can't stable run this with promised 8-7-6-21 1,9v?? I even try NB 1,65v & Mem 2,00v - no luck, Prime tests failed
The only stable&fast configuration I discover is:
    Fsb/Mult 500/7
    NB 1,41v
    Memory 1600 7-7-7-16-CR1 1,80v
Such a config don't want to run stable with 0804 but seems to be great with 0704!

yeah i wonder how long we gonna have to wait before we can fully use the products we paid for. and i refuse to run RAM at 1600MHZ thats not what i paid for, ASUS just needs to fix this mess fast.

For those who have a similar build w/ Bios v601 -Stable

Enabling the Load-Line Calibration allowed me to lower my CPU volts while maintaining a stable OS

Went from 1.59 Stable to 1.51 Stable Running 2-3C Cooler now

Still trying to reach 3.8Ghz – I think my bios is preventing me from going any higher….. Tried many different variations…. All of them failed….

    Hi guys!
I've found this topic linked on the official Asus support forum, so i think there's a really useful debate going on here

My problem is the following: a few weeks ago i've had my pc shipped at home... everything was fine except for the X-Fi audio board don't working!
So i contacted the technical support of the vendor (one of the best in italy... sigh) and he asked me to return the entire pc... two days ago they shipped again the pc to me and... ARGH! The bios was updated to 804!
Strangely enough, this coincided with a drastic fall in my GPU performances: 3DMark only scores 3700 for my 8800Ultra while it usually scored over 14000, and i often have artifacts when benching or gaming!!!

All i was able to do was downgrade the bios to 701, but nothing changed... obiouvsly i was unable to downgrade to the bios version 601 wich i originally had.

Also strangely, i have no problems with my DDR3@1800 with theese bios, just this drastically low 3d performance!
Maybe this depends on the "bad" bios?

I hope somebody here can help me with this... thank you!
