GPU SLI/CF containers rev. 5.0

I want to show mine 5.0 GPU containers - I've heard some comments that space near base in tube should be bigger, so now we have 15 mm thick baseplate, and full 42mm tube, not cutted for half.

Insulation is 19 mm thick .

Container fits both G80 and R600a + rest of older cards (like GF 6,7 and 8) and ATI X1xxx series .

Containers are 100% cooper, and backplates are stainless .

Peter, I think it's time to desing some solid/semisolid containers, nowadays cards are very hot and this brazed stuff can be too weak.

If it's a good braze job, there shouldn't be that much of a difference should there? The brazed joint should hold easily under those temps, and the metal used to braze is a pretty good conductor of heat... so it shouldn't be really noticeable if the pot's designed well. I'd be more worried about the rest of the design than the braze job.

Nice job, simple but they look like they'll be pretty effective.

he uses a big copperplate to meet the gpu core.. this in it self should hold the load pretty well I think.. + it has internals.

42mm copperpipe has normally 39mm id, in some case 38mm, but those pipes is rare.

Right . 2 slots space is needed, insulated they're sth like 60 mm thick .

Hi guys,

almost forgot to tell you that the containers arrived some days ago. They aren't perfect but finally I was able to fix all "bugs" and mount them. The biggest problem was that they're 70mm thick (Space between two PEG slots is only 58mm ). So I had to cut of a lot of the insulation.

This weekend I'll do some Yorkfield LN2 action, so we'll see, if they work fine.

thanks again for the containers. I first wanted to send you an email, but then I decided that it would be more satisfying for you to post here. These containers are really not perfect... They are excellent!!! Although we had LN2 we decided to use Dry Ice for the two HD 2900 cards. Temperature was never higher than -25°C, we were able to bench with 1010 Mhz on the cores. Great stuff!!! Result can be seen in the HoF.

That insulation was made to cut it a little with sharp knife if client decide it's too thick .

Do you use acetone? If you did your temps would be WAY LOWER.

Hello

I can said they're 5.1 becasue of added 61x61 mm holes for newest GFs .

20mm thick bases, 42 mm diameter pipes all copper .


100% cooper, 19mm thick insulation, aluminium powder coated backplates .





















K probes are mounted small holes drilled in bases .
