I used a magnifying glass to view the resistors and found a PWM that had fresh solder melted under it...Ive read of people removing faulty PWM's and the card would run at default speeds...At least this was on 7900GTX's that had simalar failures...can anyone confirm this....
If i were to remove the PWM that is circled would the card default ..I think this is the 3 phase power but not shure...Where the line goes thruogh the circle is the melted solder..al other PWM's have no melted solder there...Every thing else seems to be oK....had power Outage and this all i found...My Mobo and everything else tested out OK..So thats a
plus Its not like i can do a RMA..Since this card i polished the IHS and cut fan shroud...Its a BFG...i was gonna call em , but i think im outa luck....
