    I have.
Installed the MCW60 on my MSI (800/1220 default clocks) and I'm very pleased with the temps.
    Idle : 24-25°C
    Load : 30-31°C (3d06, Crysis, UT3, COD4)

GPU can go to approx. 875Mhz, haven't tested memory yet.

Did you have to use the 2900's adapter plate?
If you don't over-do it now, you'll likely do it over later.

I used the normal backplate (4 holes with short mounting screws)that came with the block.
I don't know if Swiftech has changed the mounting parts for this block.
I have mine for quite some time now.

i've got 4 3870's here, anyone recommend a setup for me? i'm too noobish to know what to buy, but i'm willing to spend some money. :\ haha, ya i'm lame

I've got a lian-li 2100 full tower case. But honestly with my 1000W Coolmaster psu. There is little room.
I was thinking it'd be best to have an external pump/radiator.

I thought it was out already? Listed at quite a few shops in UK showing in stock.

Hey Guys, just curious for those of you using the mcw60 and the 3870.. are you guys seeing a tiny gap between the retail blocks with the preassembled 4 hole adapter plate and the gpu or are you guys using the 2900 kit?

I'm also wondering why there is a 2900 adapter plate in the first place as a maze4 fits a 2900xt and a 3870.. is it to resolve the issue with the gap?

Please see here to see what I'm talkin about:

    http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcw60-r.asp#2

Look at the different adapter plates used with a 3870 vs the adapter plate used for a 2900xt

1 liter distilled water with 2 drops of PT Nuke from Petra's.
Keeps the loop pretty much clear, noticed a little bit of staining after a few months (only a little bit though).
Tubing can be cleaned pretty easily though.

I only use that now these days, no more UV Dye additives.

Thanks for the picture. I plan on doing the same as you, just inside a p180b and no dye. I needed some ideas. Now onto home depot!

Is the 3870 block compatible with the 3850, or should I just sell this too and get a 3870?

The 3850 and 3870 are physically different.

The EK 3850 and 3870 blocks are physically the same, with exception of the aluminum tail that covers the voltage regulators (?) at the back of the board.

If you can afford the 3870's, and (more importantly) can find them in stock, I'd go for it.

I snatched 3 x Sapphire 3870's for $249 each at Newegg recently.. and now they're not even listed anymore.
