Ordered this mobo today at newegg...

So, I'll finally be able do push my old E6300 to the limit?
Any issues about high voltage ram sticks? Beacuse I have Team Xtreem 1200 and it won't boot under 2.15v
Anybody tried max FSB?

at or below 1.52v it was spot on...in fact, cpuz ver. 1.42 adds the thousands place, which is extremely close to DMM readout...once i went above 1.55v, it was slightly off..ie., when i set the vcore to hold 4.5 ghz cpuz and SG were about 0.005v low...obviously, not TO shabby!...close enough for me!

this is going to be it for me 4.5 ghz @ 1.573 Vcore...i probably can push this higher but it will require at least 1.60+ vcore to go to 4.6 ghz...also, the reboot and cold power on post might be solved by jamming on higer than i anticipated NB voltage...the board powered on normally this morning after returning from a trip to the store...if you notice the NB is at 1.66v...i think it is actually a little higher when i boot into the bios to read it.

here is my 4.5 ghz.

Great info Ace, thanks! (FWIW, Maximus Extreme requires about the same NB and VTT voltages as you are using for quad core stability at 450+ fsb.)

What are you using for gtl reference settings at 450 fsb on the yorkfield?

Nice OC Ace-a-Rue and it appears it takes a lot to get 4.0-4.5ghz out of a
QX9650. I am just hoping the lower Yorks QX9450 or QX9550 can do 4.0 really well with low volts on this mobo.

I'm running crossfire 3850's (stock) for the time being, they work great, kinda makes me want to keep em

can someone advise me as to what exactly enabling the phase control's on the timings settings does? does it require more from the ram or less to enable?

I do not believe there will be a QX9450 or a QX9550. The X means Xtreme with an unlocked multi. The QX's will be QX9650 and QX9770.

TRD Phase Control alters the Performance Level setting. If you set a PL of six with the 10 phases set to auto the PL stays at six. If you enable the 10 phases the performance level will be 5. TRD phase adjustment is a way to get a Performance Level in-between what can be set with the PL setting. To maximize the performance increase the same phase on both channels should be enabled. Depending on stability though this is not always possible.

tyvm Praz, its nice to have a DFI veteran around to help out

I'm gonna go play with that to see if I can get my benches up a bit while staying stable.

Boys I still have a lot of problems to get the certified frequency of my ram.

When I try to boot at 1066Mhz the system on the reboot give me one continuoos beep... I've read that this is due to ram error.

But why? I've setted everything, including manually timings, and I cannot run at 1066Mhz.

Tried also every strap, I could only boot at 800Mhz.

Maybe can be a low voltages on the NB or SB? The first is on the 1.265, and the second is on 1.510. Is the problem caused by these vmm?

Thanks to everyone that could help me to solve this problem.

?

for me CPU is @ 24, chipset @ 40 (only 60 mm fan atm) and PWM @ 42

load PWM goes to almost 50

volts are CPU: 1.42 | FSB VTT: 1.58 | NB: 1.38 | VDIMM: 2.34

GTL's are per Praz's charts.

as soon as i can get my hands on that 80mm the NB volts are going to 1.55 and ive got almost to 1.6 volt room on my cpu temp wise so i will be trying for a 465+ stable setup. Hopefully a new BIOS will be headed our way soon, I've got the DFI mobo page as my homepage atm lol

The strange things is that if i leave the strap menu to AUTO and go from 266fsb*9 to 355*9 (meaning that the memory will go to 1066Mhz) the system start successfully without touching any NB-SB-VTT voice.

Boh... I'm seriously thinking this is a bios bug.

BTW can you link me some explain to gtl "theory"? This is my first DFI... don't blame me for this fault!

Bye and thanks alot 4 your precious help!

set gtl settings 68% to 70% of voltage settings
on auto it will be set @ 67% its too low
cpu vtt must be set slightly higher than cpu v
improper gtl setting will give you many problems
gimme your voltage settings i'll give you gtl settings
