Did some testing today with Vapochill LS evaporator mounted on AMD Non-Qualification Radeon HD 3870 reference board (see pics above). Unfortunately this RV670 is not very good overclocker and it can only do 830 MHz stock and 860 MHz with 100% fan-speed.

    Tested with 3DMark05:

    1,5v 1000 MHz ok
    1,53v 1012 MHz ok
    1,55v 1026 MHz ok
    1,57v 1039 MHz ok
    1,595v 1053 MHz crashed to GT3
    1,6v crashes and problems

    Notes:

Catalyst and Rivatuner reported that GPU temperature was 19 Celsius during tests and it didn't change even under load so it was probably lowest value RV670's thermal sensor can read. I also measured the temperature of PWM components under load with infrared thermal meter:

    1,5v ~49 Celsius
    1,6v ~70 Celsius

Looks like I only had screenshot @ 1026 MHz saved. Memory is not maxed out yet.. just tested GPU this time.

    Good news!

Was those temps on the PWM's with active cooling of any kind...like a fan or such?

No, those temps were measure Vapochill LS evaporator mounted on GPU and no active cooling on heatsinks.

Pretty weird that you don't get more benefit with the vapo . I can bench at about the same speeds / voltage settings on my Accelero S1 + 140mm Yate.

    'Gaming' AMD FX-6300 @ 4.5GHz | Asus M5A97 | 16GB DDR3 2133MHz | GTX760 2GB + Antec Kuhler620 mod | Crucial m4 64GB + WD Blue 2x1TB Str
    'HTPC' AMD A8-3820 @ 3.5GHz | Biostar TA75A+ | 4GB DDR3 | Momentus XT 500GB | Radeon 7950 3GB
    'Twitch' AMD 720BE @ 3.5GHz | Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P | 4GB DDR3 | Avermedia Game Broadcaster

Desktop Audio: Optical Out > Matrix mini DAC > Virtue Audio ONE.2 > Tannoy Reveal Monitors + Energy Encore 8 Sub
    HTPC: Optoma HD131XE Projector + Yamaha RX-V463 + 3.2 Speaker Setup

Sampsa, have you done the Over Current Protection mod, Shamino suggested it rears it's ugly head in the 1.6v territory.

Usually retail cards are much better overclockers than AMD Engineering Samples.. atleast that was the case with R600.
