Problem with overclocking

Hey guys
it's my first post in this forum..
I'm from brazil
I've tried an overclock here in my cpu (core 2 duo E6750), the fsb goes to 375, with 8x his multi goes for 3.00ghz.
As can you know his stock value is 2.66ghz. Then i faced a trouble. If I set a value, like 1.3400, to the CPU voltage on the bios, when I open CPU-Z on windows, it shows me a different value, not the one that I set. Why's that ??

P.S: When I'm not on overclock, I set him to Stock config, his voltage is the same as the one showing on CPU-Z (v.1.42)

The voltage CPU-Z shows is the actual voltage the CPU is getting, which is often a little lower than what you set in the BIOS because of vdroop, etc.

Simply put, some voltage gets lost along the way.

Just set the voltage in the BIOS to what it needs to be for your 3ghz or whatever speed you want to OC to, there's very little point worrying about comparing the voltages in CPU-Z vs BIOS..

This is incorrect.

The value may be close to the actual value but you will never be sure without a digital multimeter. The measurement is only as accurate as the onboard sensors which can be very inaccurate.

The only way you will be able to tell is to either get a digital multimeter and test for yourself. The value shown by CPU-Z (or in bios) will be an ok base-line to use but do not believe it to be 100% correct.

You can check the realtime cpu voltage in the bios, it may not be 100% accurate but it will come close.

ok..what funciontion i need to disable on the bios to make this overclock?
and how much voltage i need to setup...pci express i set 100? thanks a lot
