I think i will go back the the asus, i was running for 3 days stable with stock HSF on QUIET @ 3.8 GHZ.
Take a deep breath and hold it....

Open Everest and right click on the "Copyright..." label in the lower right corner. There are a whole bunch of diagnostics one of which is CPU Tweakings.

Thanks GTJ, but still @ 9x.

GTJ, you are truly the man, i aprreciate the help! But, it still shows 9x. It is not jumping around like a Yo-yo, but it is not going to the multiplier specified. Funny thing is, in Intel desktop control panel it shows the multi set @ 11. But EVERYTHING else (besides bios) shows 9x @ 3100. My memory is running at 1381 (corsair 1333).
Multiplier has a Definatle a BIOS bug, FYI Everest still shows EIST enabled. In bios it is set to disabled. Also, if i reboot C1E re-enables itself.
I think asus has a jump on them this time, not to say P5E3 does not have problems, but it did run my QX9650 @ (11x345) 3.8 with only 1.35v Easily.
    DX38BT, QX9650 (@4.2 10x420) 4GB Corsair 1333 @ 1400, 8800 Ultra (Watercooled)
    Asus ME, QX9650 (@4.2 11x380), 4GB (2gb sticks) Corsair 1600 @ 1520, 8800 GTX SSC (Watercooled).
    10) 975XBX2 Varius Core DUO and Quads w/ 4 GB Ram, and various Nvidia 8800

UPDATE ON DX38BT VISTA INSTABILITY! INTEL SIGMATEL DRIVERS CAUSE VISTA APPLICATIONS TO CRASH WINDOWS EXPLORER!!! BE WARNED! If you install SIGMATEL drivers from intel, WINDOWS explorer will cash intermittenly when running various VISTA Applications!

Update on my situation. I RMA'd the DX38BT, and picked up the Asus P5E3 Deluxe Wifi. The P5 is nice, overclocks a lot "easier", and I could hit 400FSB no problem, but it has some issues. First off, the sleep/suspend mode is screwed up, and it is a feature I depend on. Secondly, the majority of the expense involved with this board is stuff I disabled right away - Wifi and Express gate. I guess I just son't see what the use of the Express gate is. Support is similiar to the Intel board, except for these forums, non-existent. So I am getting another DX38BT here in day or so.

I was split between that Asus P5E3 and the DX38BT, and my decision was to just hold off until X48 based boards in Jan. Will probably pick up both the Asus branded and the Intel branded X48's.
