I picked up a L734A676 this afternoon. The L737B I talked about was gone.
Visited 3 other stores to check the batch #.
    I saw 2x L736...., a L723.... and a L726...

Looks like mine isn't that bad.
    Priming at 3600Mhz, 1.33V (bios), Easytune reads 1.31V, CPU-Z shows 1.296V.

I hope that helps you guys with what you were looking for.

I will up it when I get watercooling in the future. I don't have the balls to up it now. It's getting to 65 celcius when it's under load at 3600. I don't know if my HSF is mounted wrong or what, right now at what I consider idle I'm getting 33-33-37-37 so I don't know if that's bad or not. I'd love to have it under water but right now I have other priorities rofl.

Hey just to let you guys know I also got a 37B batch.

Fortunately this quad can also hit 4ghz at about 1.45v and 3.6ghz is doable at stock volts. Haven't tried anything lower yet.

Oh and yes its hot but the cpu is extremely concave and not lapped. Also this mount isn't very good.

The exactly batch code is L737B062 pack date 10/31/07

I can get more of these exact cpu's but they're in canada.

    L737A823..

It looks like a good chip, but you never know for sure untill you see the VID.. & then even a very low VID can scale different as an identical chip/VID.

So you'll need to test it

I want to push it further on air.

Are my temps ok for air? I'm just wondering because with it at stock voltages and stock speed it's like 29-32 celcius and then when I bump it to 1.27 it's 33-33-37-37 and when I am running it at 100% with prime95 it's hovering around 57-57-60-60 maybe as high as 63.

Also all I've touched was the vcore and not any of the other voltages because I don't know what I'm doing yet.

Can I continue to raise the vcore and leave the other stuff at auto and go with that?

Also what increments should I go with to continue to raise it up. I'd like to see how high it can go.

I'll have to pull the computer out of the cubby it's in though and put it on a side table and go with that. I'm just not going to worry about getting WC yet.

Now I was planning on doing this.........

Basically up the vcore to 1.3 and then start upping the fsb until it's not stable.

I just don't know what temps are ok to have

    and

how long do I REALLY have to prime for before it's considered 100% stable for the amount i use it (which is about 8-10 hours a day and that's being lofty, I primarily play games at night before I go to bed and on the weekends when I'm off)

I appreciate any input on this and if you guys want me to push it, help me out and I'll push it as far as I can. Eventually I'll probably lap the ICS and the HSF but not ATM.

Did test it, think vid was 1.275
Ran it 400 x 9 on air w/ 1.40 volts (pencil modded the resistor on the P5E)
It was proved stable with Othos running 12 hours.

Had problems with the ASUS P5E (rma'd for refund) so the chip is back in the package.

I got 3 new chips yesterday.

    L737A832 10/18/07 1.20 vid
    L737B293 11/02/07 1.32 vid
    L738A976 11/19/07 1.25 vid

So far I have only tested the top CPU. It does 3.6@1.3 bios 1.29 w/droop on my 680i board. I have not done any stability testing, but I can do an xvid encode that takes 3 hours w/o crashing. I will do some further testing when work slows down.

Got my G0 (L731B158) rock stable at 3.6Ghz (9x400) on air for several weeks now with 1.32v (VID = 1.215). It tops out at 3.87 Ghz (1.4v) but i think this is mostly the board giving up (P5B Dlx).

Your temps are already pretty high for aircooling.
Upping the volts will increase temps even more.
You might increase the volts a notch (1.30-1.35V) and see if temps rise much.
    Try to stay bellow 70°C.

So I was attempting to see how low my voltage can go while still staying stable at 3.6ghz.

So far this is the result. I tried 1.25 but that wasn't 100% stable.

Gonna keep trying to see if it can do sub 1.3v
