For what is worth, I have run Abit, Asus and Gigabyte boards and will not go back to Gigabyte. I had the P35-DQ6 returned it 3 times, finally ended up with smeone elses junk board and never got it running. I switched to the Asus Max board and it ran first time out of the box. I hit 4.06 on my Q6600 and though I did not stress it, it ran. The Gigabyte has impressive specs, but service is very poor. I have not used Asus customer service, but you know what, I have not needed it.

Its funny how some boards work better for peeps and some dont I would like to know why cpu temps have increased so much using bioses after 502? Im sure that its the temps that are hurting this board. Im showing temps over 70c at full load with 8c water cooling? same water setup on my dq6 loads 60c full load. Im in know way saying that the dq6 is a better board I actually like this board very much that is why I have not gave up on it yet

What were the loaded core temps (cores 1/2/3/4, not CPU die temp) in BIOS v0502? 70c is bout right for an exreme OC. That's what my Q6600 on another mobo hits on 2 cores, and other 2 average round 68/69c as read in Everest v4.20.

What are they reading now in Everest coes 1~4 temps?

Coretemp shows 70+ on all cores. I agree that is a normal temp with normal cooling but im running 8c chilled water cooling. I have ran q6600 on many boards in the past with the same cooling and have never seen temps that high with one exception..P5k deluxe

Interesting. I have the same set of mobos. As for the temp, this is normal read out for these latest BIOS and even on the P5B as well. It is reading a combined core temp of the actual cores now, not the CPU die like before. So this is better since this is what we areally interested in monitoring. I speak of the temp read out in BIOS not what PC probe reads out. If this is the case, then I dont know what to say to that.

As for the temps being high for the chiller, again , not too sure. It does sound high for only a moderate OC, and yet for this mobo is barely a mild OC as far as FSB is concerned.

I get those same temps (cores 1~4 average of 69~72c) on my Q6600 to 4GHz as 500x8 on air so ye, I'm suprised.
