Then this issue with HCC. Lets face it, cancer is the biggest issue that brings people to DC, myself included and I was all hyped up when they restarted this round. Like most, I don't do a daily comparison of how the machines are doing. I just check the daily totals and with the up and down of the quorum it takes time before you see a trend.
It was having Mesh's machine here that got my attention.
That machine is like a clock, does 25K a day on a 7 day average and watched it drop to 19K running HCC.
It's back on just FAAH now and the averages are going back up.
Now if we have 250 guys losing 6000 a day, you guys do the math..
If you look at the output one month ago we are doing +/- the same now and that's without Rammies output and some trouble with HCC. I wouldn't say we are doing that bad

I agree, I just hate seeing EasyNews beating us in the dailies after we'd finally caught them.

Over the past month Easynews' daily output has steadily increased. I don't think this is in response to our challenge. More of their users are probably migrating to BOINC. And given the fact that they have close to 6,000 members, that switch will have an impact. Our daily output has been fairly steady the past month, except for that one day when all the HCC units were validated at once. The number of results we are returning is actually higher than a month ago. I think this is partly due to those shorter DDDT units.

You have to remember that we are going up against two teams (Easynews and Team 2ch) with large memberships. Team 2ch now has 5,800 members versus our 750. Size does matter sometimes. If we can eventually increase our membership to around 1,000 I think we can beat Easynews on a daily basis with no problem.

I was chatting with my father yesterday about this and although he is running a couple of Mac's at home, I have got him excited enough to maybe join the team also I will set it up over the next week or so whenever I get back in to town...so then I just have to work on my brother who also has a few 24/7 PC's working at his place. So only 248 more live members to go

If I was not thinking (going to - just a few months away) moving back to the US, I would have snapped up a few more Quads in the last couple of months also...but will have to wait until I know a date before I can get more hardware for my farm

My e6600 should be here tomorrow.

However, heat output from this 3850 is causing me to lose ethernet on this machine, and I dunno when water is coming for it. Parts are half bought, but I need full cover blocks, and I can't make them just yet. I decided to make everything this time-my case is in planks in the dining room waiting for a power drill and some templates to be cut out, and I'm hoping for a 3x120 rad from my wife, but I think it'll end up being a Silencer 750 instead, which I will certainly appreciate...

Once I get this setup and going, I'm gonna look at what to add next. Still got a 2600 Sempy that needs to be the media center in the house, but its RAM finally upped and died, so it's next in line for upgrades. Cases for these are fun, I may try my hand at making this one's as well...

That's all that I'll have rack room for, without retiring more DXs(down to 10, from 32).
