UPS says DEC. 4 for e6600 and the e2140 is crunching as we speak. Will borg the 820 when it goes out, and let the owner know about it.
Currently working on a few user reviews for the area above, good looking cheap case=stitches tonight. However, HD3850 goodness is 12 inches away...
Oh, hi! :]
My motherboard isn't dead anymore...which is fantastic! And, I'm getting things stable again. But, my GPU seems to be going downhill now. I think i'm going to pick up a couple of new cards for SLI (G92 GTS), and get back to folding. Since moving, I also had a lot of spare computer parts, and a few more G0 quads, so I'm going to slap those together and let them run.

My internet has been down the past few days, so no results from me. The soonest they can get someone out is Monday![]()

Guys/gals, please do not get discouraged, we have come so far and are doing amazing things for our size. We WILL catch them and overtake them so please keep the faith. The group of people on this forum have showed the world that a small dedicated force can not be stopped and it takes fifteen times our number to compete with us. That alone is an accomplishment that any team would be proud of.![]()
XSDC is THE BEST DC TEAM and with time we will be back on top again.![]()

I was thinking the same thing ( even as my spirits sunk, just a bit, at another day behind them ). Just as we slowed just a touch, they have seemed to gain a bit. But we are still but a wee small team doing battle with Goliaths and damn-near besting them, and certainly outdoing many teams bigger than us. We do need to continue to remember this, so as not to let the intensity of our effort waver.
I'm kind of frustrated at my own output, lately. It seems to have been off for a while now. Like maybe 15 to 40K/day. If it is HCC related, well, I changed my Project profile, last night, and am now doing only Prot. and FAAH. Maybe that'll get it.

I still have to wonder. It seems we have lost more than advertised or rather expected.
And I wouldnt suggest doing HPF if youre looking to increase your points output. HPF just plain kneecaps you with its huge quorums. I'd recommend DDT and FAAH if youre interested in maximizing points. Points of course arent everything, so guys gotta do what a guy wants to do.

Well, I've always kind of just allowed HPF, sort of by default, to run. I have no particular affinity for it or anything. Wasn't aware of its' quorem issues ( don't usually pay much attention to that stuff ). Thanks for telling me.
What I'd like to run is Cancer projects, but don't want to be "knee-capped" ( love that term, Carl) by that project's issues. So until I hear all clear from more than a few, I'm going to stay clear of it. Cancer is what brought me into the crunching worl and I'd love to run a decent Cancer project. Wish they'd get their crap together!

I think the output drop is a few things:
Rammies leaving was an instant 100K a day gone.
Then this issue with HCC. Lets face it, cancer is the biggest issue that brings people to DC, myself included and I was all hyped up when they restarted this round. Like most, I don't do a daily comparison of how the machines are doing. I just check the daily totals and with the up and down of the quorum it takes time before you see a trend.
It was having Mesh's machine here that got my attention.
That machine is like a clock, does 25K a day on a 7 day average and watched it drop to 19K running HCC.
It's back on just FAAH now and the averages are going back up.
Now if we have 250 guys losing 6000 a day, you guys do the math..![]()

On the HCC thing I found fold3 is taking about 11 hours and fold5 almost 13 to completeAt least they are running properly knock on wood

I saw you guys getting your asses whooped, so Riptide asked me to come help ya fellas![]()
I have been doing all faah for quite a while. The ship is too big to be making a lot of turns, which has saved me from the problems with the other projects. I would suggest everyone stop running HCC until the bugs are fixed. Unless that happens, we may not be helping the science at all running HCC.
I just put together another Q6600 G0 rig and it will go online over the weekend. That's quad #32. #33 is enroute to OPP and then to me, hopefully arriving some time next week. Also switching another 14 quads from XP Pro to XP Pro 64 over the next couple of weeks. So expect output to go up by 55K by mid December. That is if I don't decide to give myself quad #34 as a Christmas present.![]()
