HD3870 - 16 texture Units @ 775Mhz
8800x - 24 texture Units @1.2Ghz

Where did you get the 1.2 Ghz for the texture units ? as far as i know the texture units have the clockspeeds of the ROB's. So if you have a 8800 GT they would run @ 600 MHz. Shader speeds are seperated and operate @ 1500 MHz for the GT.
