Yes, ASUSUpdate allows you to flash backwards, if you set it in options

But when flashed to 0402, neither ASUSUpdate or EZ Flash will let me flash, they said not compatible EEPROM. So the only option was to corrupt the BIOS and use Crashfree BIOS and P5E.ROM contained in the driver CD to restore it
