TBH I'm underpaid roughly 20k a year for a job I'm doing compared to British citizens. Thing is I like this company and salary is not that important. Same is with graphics cards, if you like them you can pay a little bit more than they are worth in reality.

We can only hope next shipment will be big enough to exceed demand and price will land where it should be from beginning .

Tell me about it, there aren't any in the UK and it seems mid-Dec @ best. Factor in we have to pay ~£160 (~$320) atm compared to ~$260 (~£130) in the States and you can see we are being royally shafted!

Thankfully my mate in USA will post some in for me so it is a case of waiting for US stock/price gouging to end. I wish I jumped on a pair for $440 when I had the chance.

Anyone see any in stock in the US of A at a reasonable price? All the links in the thread are for out of stock and overpriced cards

Most of the $229 and $239 models are sold out, even at the link given.

People really are just scooping up anything that is available right now...

It really tells you that Nvidia's year long price gouging of the G80's really left a lot of people needing a legitimate mainstream card..

QFT, I'm no different either and I refuse to pay price gauged prices even though I'd really want a new gfx card. I rather wait my ass out, there's yet hoping that I will get a G92 card before Xmas but I wouldn't count on it. HD3870 would be another possible choise but only if it can be bought for like 180~190 EUR or less in this country but I doubt it. 8800GT prices here are like close to Germany's and HD3870 ridicoulously overpriced (expensier than 8800GT when it should be slightly cheaper), seems like NVIDIA cards have a habit of being more common over here in Finland, at least if I'd judge by availability and price.

    Yeah LOL!

Cons: I bought this card from New Egg when it was first out and got a good deal on it. At the originally advertised price this card is a great deal but at it’s current higher price it’s not worth it. Wait for the price to come back down or go for the 8800GT
Makes my point. It's like the last place to sell out of 8800GT *Newegg* $339. I don't care about supply and demand except the supply of money in my wallet. At $269, the card is bad deal, now it were $50 cheaper hey.
