I'm hoping the 1Gb version is about $350 to $375.
Does 1Gb get much of an advantage over 512mb with 1600x1200 res?
i7 920 -- Gigabyte EX58-UD3R -- 3x2Gb G.Skill 1600 -- XFX GTX260 WD 150Gb Raptor / Hitachi 750Gb -- Antec Smartpower 500W -- Coolermaster 690 case
How much is this going to cost?
Something that crushes the GTX for $400? Who isn't going to buy that?
So we should see this on newgg the 3rd, right?![]()

But doesn't this post read it will be out on the 11th?
Com'on guys, read though the thread before you post.
There might not even be a 512MB or 1GB, Because the revision could be just based of a G80 core and not G92.
My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....
Build XT7 is currently active.
Current OS Systems: Windows 10 64bit
Ah, hate the power consumption, throws me off any component. Threw me off R600 too. Around 100W I wouldn't mind.
But the GTX was measured to pull ~150W-170W loaded anyway, so still looking better.
I really hope the G80-rumors are false...
We all want G92-8800GTS, don't we?
How exciting, a green PCB with a giant box on top of it that will immediately get thrown away by 99% of the members of this board anyway.
Sigs are obnoxious.
512bit bus is not required for 1GB. All they'd need to do a 1GB card is slap some Qimonda 1024Mbit GDDR3 chips on G92GT's board.
Vóila - 1GB with 256bit bus!
You were not supposed to see this.
Here in Greece the price will be EQUAL to the price of the 8800gts 320MB . I have seen some price lists .![]()
i think the product you talk about is already out now.

Soooo, is nvidia saving the 8850 brand name for something else?
i7 920 -- Gigabyte EX58-UD3R -- 3x2Gb G.Skill 1600 -- XFX GTX260 WD 150Gb Raptor / Hitachi 750Gb -- Antec Smartpower 500W -- Coolermaster 690 case
Enough 8XXX series, lets get some 9XXX series out, with twice the performance...
Its espacially needen now, when X38/X48 cant run SLi...
Can't wait no longer....

two x 8800gt's would only make sense
since previously
2 x 7900gt right?
therefore it would be better then a 8800gts, but not better then dual gts's
im not sure if u could combine two 8800gts since, them being dual slot coolers

I'm hoping they don't do that 'double board' gx2 again and charge up the ass for it. Then again that 3870 x2 coming out would have trouble fitting in a rackmount chasis.
i7 920 -- Gigabyte EX58-UD3R -- 3x2Gb G.Skill 1600 -- XFX GTX260 WD 150Gb Raptor / Hitachi 750Gb -- Antec Smartpower 500W -- Coolermaster 690 case
If they are anything over $350, im getting the GT. It would be nice if they released it early
I suppose, ill be up all night with my mouse ready to snatch one up![]()
