    hey guys, first post!

I love this board. but the only problem i've seen and wonder if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it.. my cpu fan (stock heat sink btw) seems to stay at 780rpm or 840rpm in guru.

I've tried everything i can think of disabling FanEQ, then enable it, change it to PWM then back, i've set all the lows to 11.5 or 95% to try and make it run fast.. and i've tried everything in Guru's options... when i First got the system running, the fan would run close to 2k on rpms cause i changed the volts for low to 11.5v. Then one time i hit F8 in the bios to "oc on the fly" well my bios froze and since then i've always had the low reading despite temps in the high 40's. Ive even tried uninstalling guru then installing again. but still the same stupid 780rpm reading

another thing.. i've currently running a e2180 at 3.2Ghz but i gotta set the voltage to like 1.5375 which shows up as 1.57 on the front of guru.. now it runs fine at 3.0Ghz with like 1.45v but won't boot till i up the voltage for 3.2Ghz.. my other voltage specs are:
    ddr2 2.200
    mch 1.30
    ichio 1.55
    cpu vtt 1.30
    ich 1.10
    bios is version 11.
ram is Gskill running at 1000mhz with 5-4-3-5 timings

see anything that i could do to help lower the cpu voltage? worlds different OCing this compaired to my p4 3.2Ghz

some one stated back a while ago to unplug the PSU for a minute or so...boot up into the bios and set the cpu fan up the way you want...if that doesn't work, clear cmos and reset your bios settings.

Ace, thank you (and for your guide too). Well, I'm at 9x450=4052 at 1.57v with the other volts at (copied Supershanks with a small bump):
    vMch 1.45v
    vICH 1.14v
    vICHIO 1.52v
    CPU vtt 1.32
    Ram is at 5-5-5-15@1081 2.3v

I think that is all I'm going to do tonight, tomorrow 4.? Thanks again!

Is there something wrong with my board or is it the cpu just seeing its limits.

I can get my e2180 to 3.2Ghz with a 10x multi but when i try 6x with a clock of 333, it refuses to boot! and thats with a voltage of like 1.45! now the thing is rock stable at 2Ghz (using the 10x multi).

could someone send me the beta bios

    Ace I have: IX38, Q6600 GO, 4GB Patriot 1066, 8800GTX KO, two 74GB raptors raid 0, and vista 64.

I scored 14242 on 3dmark06. I had to bump the ram down to 1:1 at 960, becasue it was unstable and failed at 1080. This is my second Q6600 GO and runs much better than my frist one, alot cooler and more stable with less volts. My Jinu phase unit stayed strong and kept it nice and cold. I'll try and bump it up alittle more today see what see can do, but 4ghz is fast.

I'm really like this board, the fact that the area around the cpu is flat and I can use nice full sheets of insulation. It runs alot cooler than my 680i and more stable with alot less volts. I put a fan over the nb and the temps are nice. So far I'm impressed and I've had no major issuse's. Thank you guys for the help and I'll keep you updated.

Superbowtie look at the post on page 8 from DangeR! (#182 I think)

what is your FSB and multi?

4G's of memory is difficult to clock it at high mhz and at ratios other than 1:1

If I can get 4.2-4.5 that will bump the ram speed back up, I guess we will see. I'm happy being stable at 4 though and not stressing the phase unit.

OK I managed to boot with a 1GB G.Skill HZ stick

I am posting this message from my PC now!

I have yet to test my OCZ with a voltage bump in the BIOS yet......

So it seems this board has problems with certain memory modules and the BIOS could use some work.

I will post back if I have any luck with the OCZ......

No go at all with the 2X1GB OCZ DDR2 PC8000 Titanium Alpha VX chips, even with the voltage bumped and the timings relaxed it just sits at "C1".

I tried each stick in each slot to no avail, I am wondering if the memory has just had it? I will get a mate to test it.....

Great OCing your Q6600! But 12,390 isn't exactly fast for 4,15Ghz
I got 13,00 on my QuadGT with 3,85Ghz - then my E6600 died of high voltage... oh well, it wasn't that great anyway (one of the first from October 06).
Which strap did you use for that run? Looks like 1333...

unless you have C1E & EIST disabled it is perhaps trying to boot at the default 10x multi & 333fsb & it is possibly beyond it at that voltage.

yep will run 3d2006 later today i think. Haven't bothered with that side much yet as i was using an 8500 when barebones, it's in my case now so i'll run with my 8800gts, so i can compare with my earlier results on other boards.

Naw I meant what strap... 1066 or 1333? The board does have that strap setting, right?!
Or is it all-auto with these new stuff

doesn't this board have FSB to Memroy ratios like 1:1, 1:1.2, 1:1.25, 1:1.50, 1:1.66 and 1:2?...if the board does then memory straps are selected using those FSB to Memory ratios...the first two should be the 1333 strap and the second two are the 1066 strap...the last two are the 800 strap....it is that way on the IP35.

here is a bios image to show you what i am talking about.

Supershanks, did you leave sll of your voltages the same when you went to 4.2? I still have not tried anything new, no time, but maybe tonight.

DangeR!, I have 1:1 at 9x450, so my 1066 ram is at 960 area. Ace stated above that 4GB is hard to run at anything but 1:1 at a high oc and I could not run it at 1:2 which was 1080.
