Hi, you are right, i tried retail version of xp, same thing, if the windows loads successfully it works like charm. I have ultimate vista 64 installed and had no problem. The BSOD appears only when xp is loading. I cannot figure what is the problem, maybe the psu is faulty.

    Thanks!

Hey guys! Maybe you can help me.
I got this board running with the system in my sig, and I got some sound issues.

I have a 4.1 system, I set the Windows Sound manager (in the control panel) to work with 4.1 sound, and when I try it, works fine, all speakers sound separately and as they shoud. But when trying to listen to some music using any kind of software, only both front speakers work.

    Any help with that?

    Thanks!!

my guess would be that the music was not recorded as surround sound, just 2 channels...it is like listening to a TV channel where one program gives surround sound so i hear all music or sound from 5 channels while other programs recorded or programmed in stereo, 2 channels, are strictly coming through the front speakers.

Yea, that is the main problem, but my last rig (nf4 ultra) was able to make all speakers sound. There is an option usually enabled that makes the sound to distribute thorugh all spakers, even though there only are 2 channels. I guess that is what is missworking.

Maybe it can be worked out using the realtek drivers, but last time I installed them caused a lot of problems and I had to reinstall de OS.

Any guess? Maybe I'll have to wait for new drivers or something.
