Heck, buy one from the states... It may be cheaper to have it shipped.

Who knows when you might be able to get your hands on a 88GT.

Give it a few days, as for the price... you know it's never been a straight conversion. I saw it at 200€ on a site before they up the price when they realized they were the first to show up. I bet it will sell for less than 200€ soon.

hmmm, i was tempted to order 2 of these, but crossfire seems only as good as a 8800GTX, no point in that, i have an order of 8800GT instead, might get 2 of these if drivers mature.

    (X2) HD3870's for $438 + shipping vs. (X1) 8800GTX for $50-100 more.

I've always bought nVidia GPUs... but it's getting close now...
Though 1-year warranty on the Diamond cards could kill it for me.

    EBL

*hoping that nVidia has the effing sense to drop MSRP in the coming days*

Won't sell? Then put the prices back to the normal level.

I mean, if you have 1200 of these cards, next shipment is coming next week, and you kinda know that they will be sold out quite rapidly, why not to put the price as high as possible?

retail price: sold out in 8 hours.
+10% price: sold out in 18 hours
+15% price: sold out in 24 hours
+20% price: sold out in 48 hours
+25% price: sold out in a week.

The optimal strategy would be to use +25% pricing, it will still sell out before new shipment is coming, and you get HUGE profit. Customers aren't happy about this, but if they want to get HD38x0, they need to pay some extra.

Add to cart, enter 999 in the quantity and hit update cart. It'll drop the number to the max available.

Doesn't always work though because some items have a limit 2 per customer or something like that.

No. SLI and crossfire don't mix. You need a crossfire mobo.

errrmm here in EU we still use logical date format so its, 05/11/2007. But as its back in time i guessing it should be 05/12/2007.

This have to be the dumbest egg review I've ever saw...
