something seems wrong. maybe it's just due to immature drivers, but i think
my 1900s in CrossFire would do better than that. i know my resolution is
only 1680x1050, but i ran that test with my dual core @ 2.8 and a pair of
Radeon 1900 XT's at stock speed.

all game settings maxed except Soft Shadows and 4xAA / 4xAF. this is what
i got. sorry for the huge pic, but Photobucket is down atm.



i'd expect those 3870's to run circles around my old 1900's once the drivers
are ready.

@MrBunglex You are running on 1680*1050 and 4xAA/4xAF and he is running on 1920*1080 maxed out (2 pic) and first 2x/4x,so that isnt much comparable

I can make a FEAR run at those settings tonight if you like.

I gotta say that these cards at stock with my setup got me 19500 in 3Dmark06 in Vista64. Not too shabby. Definitely faster than my 2900XT's at stock.

The drivers are definitely buggy as i was not able to OC them with the overdrive function. I tried through rivatuner and it only oc'd one card.

I'm gonna talk to amd today and see what I can dig up.

***almost forgot: my hard drive w/ XP busted and I'm too lazy to load it on another drive so all my tests are in Vista64***

yes but you can't run sli 8800gt(s) on intel chipsets with the exception of skulltrail, so unless something is wrong with my eye sight, from what I've seen two 3870s get a nice sized advantage over 1 8800gt
