Just throw it on a USB stick and, like everyone else said, use EZFlash from the BIOS.

Yea I use a USB stick to store BIOSes (must be formatted FAT32) and save my CMOS using the same stick.
I found yet ANOTHER BUG with the BIOS using this method though....
If you reset the CMOS and try the enter the BIOS with your flash drive attached (containing only a BIOS and .CMO CMOS file) it will hang on detecting the drive....you must remove it, hard boot, then boot into your OS, insert the drive, reboot, and it will work.
    Meh
You can also store to the profiles on the OC backup program . There are two.

Man I really want to go higher on my board! I'm only loading at 50-57C at 3.6! I don't know why I can't post higher than 400 MHz....this is seriously killing me....

Yeah, stupid me, I tried for the 9x415MHz as was denied once again. But as gesture of good faith for trying to achieve the unachievable--for me, at least--my OS decided to take a crap on me. It wouldn't have been so bad except my RAID10 array starting spitting out error after error, over 300 and still counting, before I decided to pull the plug. I never learn.....

Even running at 400FSB I couldn't get any of the memory dividers to boot except for 106XMHz on the 400FSB strap, iirc. Even when running my RAM @ 2.3V (actual) and 5-6-6-18 timmings I couldn't hit 12XX on the 266 strap or the 12xx on the 333 strap (Strap still set to AUTO but I believe that's where the two dividers are found). I can't remember what combination of Static Rd/Trans Booster/Relax lvl I used but I will give it another go once I finish w/ my OS(s) install.

    ARGH!!!!!!

Great OC, and yes, you should be rather rock solid now. Thanks for the try, at least now people know OCCT RAM is the way to go, and if it bugs, its an OC issue

Code 1 : thread stopped because another thread stopped
Code 2 : stop by user
    Code 3 : memory error
    Code 4 : calculation error

Error codes are not well onscreen displayed in this beta. Go in the OCCT folder, you have text files named thread0x.txt. Each thread is for a different CPU core. In each thread you have a code. Usually you'll get a code 4 in one of the threads as even if the problem is memory/NB related, it will lead to calculation error

Thanks for the advice, I'll stay away of them for now so...

Please anyone advice me a good sticks combo 2x1Gb to achieve high overclocks on this Maximus

Simplest is just to flash from floppy w/ EZ-Flash, drag and drop to floppy and only inser just before entering EZ-Flash menu.

This mobo is very pick with RAM deviders and especially if in the black slots. Move to white slots to get more stable for DDR1150 or 1200. Also, for the higher FSB OC, try 1:1 to eliminate the devider instability issue and see what that gets you. I get 500FSB easy with very little effort over that of 450 - 475 settings.

I am on a test devider for 475x8 @ 4:5, DDR1180 @ 5-5-5-15 but @ 2.32v. and it scores more in Everest RAMBench but doesnt feel all that better then 500x7, 1:1 DDR1000 @ 4-4-4-12. Pluss I dont like having to give the Tracers that much volts

    Just my thoughts

    Well I'm running 4Gb so I can't switch slots....they're all full!
I wasn't aware that there was divider issues, so I'll try running the RAM 1:1 and see what happens....

Oh yea, I haven't used floppy disks in years! I just keep one of my older USB flash drives in the back of my PC for flashing. This mobo actually has onboard memory for saving profiles too.
