2900 Pro Owners Thread

I have looked for the "Foxconn forums" and I found them, but I have no idea why you would reference me to them. There is hardly any activity, the most active section has some 300 threads total and they make nvidia video cards. Perhaps I found the wrong forums? I couldn't find any others...

Anyway can anybody please make the super bios for the 2900 pro 1gb gddr4? Here is a download link to it's stock bios:

Well I can not get in there atm but last night I noticed someone w/29001gb card asking the same thing and they got a response along the lines of “sure we will look into it, I’ll talk to the engineers”. My point was maybe if there were more interest for the bios on there forums they would help you guys out.

What bios? I'am aware of bios for 512mb cards ONLY. I mentioned Foxconn forums so you could seek more help. I did have to register to get to forums and D/L pages. All I know.

I thought there was a custom bios that allowed for significantly higher overclocks on the 2900 pro? Anyway YGPM

did u notice that in vista 3dmark06 doesn´t recognize crossfire?
"Linked display adapters: NO"

same happens when i run 3dmark06 in vista. Steam doesn´t recognize CF either.. 1card when cf is enabled (but no sli or crossfire detected) 2cards when cf is disabled.

i wrote ati about that issue.. hope they get it fixed with new drivers.
until then i´ve got one of the fastest "single card" AMD/ATI only rigs in the ORB

I saw in Sapphire drivers section drivers for HD 2900 GT dated Nov 6th, 2007! It's possible this driver to be something like beta of 7.11?! And most important, will this new driver work with HD 2900Pro. Any one try this?

Not sure it its a new version as teh AMD site only reports 7.10. I used 7.10 from amd site since I installed my card, so not sure what version Sapphire had in its support site. Could it be that they only added the 7.10 version now?

Anyway, please let us know of teh outcome

11k w/ crossfire... even if that is S939.. it shoulda been higher.. when i had my 2900pro w/ my fx62 i had high 10k.... are you sure its running cf?

without crossfire i get around 9k. i remember ur fx62 (which isn´t s939) was running @3,1ghz.
a little boost in cpu speed would really help my score.
oh.. and it´s not 11k... it´s almost 12k only 51 3dmarks left. i should disable some of those crappy vista services running in the background while benching.

I would like to buy a 2900 pro as an alternative to the 8800gt because i need a new card fast and it's so hard to find one

how is this card in terms of performance in bioshock, cod4, gears, ut3 and other hardcore graphics programs, don't bring up crysis cause i'm not planing to get it

hi guys . i've flashed my pro 512mb with the Xfire bios (880core 950mem)
voltage for me is :
2D 1.10 v
3D 1.25 v

My core temps with the HR-03 are fine (max 77°C) , but my voltage regulator gets extremely hot (i have seen 107°C once)

Also i have lost points in 3dmark score .. which makes me think : wouldn't it be better to modify a 2900pro with the voltage settings instead of taking the XT ones ?

while playing crysis i just saw voltage reg temp go up to 109°C after few minutes play . this can't be healthy so i've just reverted back to original pro bios . .

Its runs those and everything I've thrown at it, except crysis, maxed at more than fluid fps. And maxed for me is 1920x1200 with at least 4x wide tent and 16X Anistropic plus whatever game specific highest texture settings there may be etc.

My x1950 XT couldn't come close, tho granted this is a high res and that had only 256M.

Whats max regulator temp w Pro bios?
