Although not being a DFI fan anymore, I think I may still give it a try.

lol what parking lot are you in exactly heheheheh

we get ripped off in australia because of our distance and size of the market. It isn't necessarily the wholesaler so that's what i meant. US guys get their boards cheaper than we see them sold wholesale here but hey when you only order 50 boards at a atime and pay airfreight and price for 50 you know what's coming right heh

that's one thing US is really good for....killer deals on stuff

i mean WTF look at the MSI card on for sale forum >> some company is selling the 8800GT in US for US$227 >> we are lucky to get stock here and when it does come it will be around AUD$400 or so with an occasional AUD$350 deal until the retailer figures out he can make another $50 on top

    AUD$400 ~ US$360

if you guys saw the pricelist form one of our big wholesalers on Asus or Gigabyte 8800GT cards you would fall flat on your arse just to see what the buy price is....>> put it this way the price i just quoted is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay below cost wholesale price for those cards EEK

Would the new Bone Trail's BIOS have enough OC'ng juice for my needs?

I hear that their BIOS allows some options, but must admit I am hypnotised by the power that OC'ng brings, especially if you are silly enough to jump in and go 64bit w/ these newest offerings of X38 and 45nm. The DFI warning will be taken into consideration. But this DAW will not be used in my live shows until stability has been achieved.

I have read OC'ng forums for years, and never posted as I would bore you guys with my hardware synths and DSP creations. But the newer apps already are supporting SSE4, and selective thread placing on Core 2 Duo's and Quads. The DFI boards I have read about really sound niche, and quite sick.

I will try to watch this thread, along w/ reviewers to see what's going on.

Thanks, hopefully I can be an avid tweaker using different apps, but none the less,.......an avid tweaker.

You wouldn't have bored me . I used to be heavily into that stuff as well many years ago, in fact I still have a lot of my kit lying around but never used. EMU E5000 fully loaded hardware sampler, My Access Virus B, Alpha Juno-2 etc. I really should get back into it but I just never have the motivation to sit down and create anything. Back on topic however. I have always overclocked my systems when it came to Audio. From the P4 1.6A days right up until my Athlon XP before I stopped doing audio and starting overclocking my system strictly for personal satisfaction and gaming.

I thought you were having us on! We bought a couple last week for a lot less than that, but after having another look, some of those prices are horrendous. The XFX disty isn't too bad with their prices, but i'd expect that to be very shortlived.

Back on topic, I'm tempted by one of these boards, It's good to hear they are coming sooner rather than later..Can't wait to see some quad core FSB results.

DFI is back in the game, I'm very happy with my DFI P35 T2R, and a lot of other folks in this thread are too i'm sure

It's my understanding that he had some not so nice things to say about a new motherboard that was going to be released.
