Thanks, Im quite happy with how it clocks. The last SS was with P5KC but a transistor exploded so I am using P5K now. Only 1.27-1.28v needed for 3.6G prime.

3.6Ghz on only 1.27v-1.28v is very impressive to say the least! I'm a bit late on the C2Q bandwagon because I just got my first Q6600 on Saturday afternoon at CompUSA here in NH. Fortunelty they had a couple in stock so I was able to pick through them,

    SLACR L734A881 (pack date 10/05/07)

When I first installed the chip I was using BIOS P30 on my eVGA 680i A1 and it booted right up without much trouble. After I got it up and running and did some baseline benching I tried to start pushing it a bit. By the end of the night I got it stable (4x instances of Prime95 400mb each) at 3.15Ghz on a whopping 1.42v (which seems to be much higher than most)! Granted I didn't have much time to tweak that night but since I've flashed to P31 and I've got all day to test!

Like some others I've been getting lots of random restarts with no warning (as in no blue screens first), it just restarts at anything above 3.15Ghz. I read that some think this may be a PSU issue but I'm doubtful. In anycase I'll try to post my progress over the course of the day!

Could be heat related, what are your temps like? Cooling?

I should have included that info. The CPU is watercooled and at 3.15Ghz on 1.42v the temps maxed out (after about 2hrs of Prime) at 48C according to Everest. This leads me to believe that temps probably aren't the issue, YET. To be honest I should have done more testing myself before posting that question since I'll be able to narrow down the issue more that way! Not only that but since my BIOS wasn't updated during that testing it could just be a BIOS issues (the newest BIOS seems to be centered around new Quads and Kentfields in particular)....

Yeah could be the bios, you should be getting alot more out of a G0 with H20 than that I would think.

    Hi

Some great over clocks here in the thread :-D

I would ask though if some of you guys would be good enough to share some of your bios settings for n00bs like my self.

With my speed i got in my sig all i did was up the FSB and the volts, I run prime for a bit no problem.

I can boot into windows with 3.6 no problem just upping the FSB but prime wont run.

I have read alot here at the forum and some other guides but would be nice to get some more detailed info on what your guys settings are since we all all using the same chip and simular configurations.

    Thanks :-)

No offense to anyone, but why do people bother to show a prime screen less than 10 hours? Is that what everyone is considering "stable" now?
