We are mostly talking Quads here, a lot harder to push then dual cores mate, but that's a very nice clocking setup you got there...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

And the funny thing is that the GPU power can be used to crack its own drivers

Intel will only for ther ultra-pricety skulltrail for now.
But... a big manifacturer like ASUS coild buy the MP100 chip from nvidia and make a mixed x38 board. They did used mixed pci-e chipsets in the past (remember some 650i boards?)

Why don't they do that, it seems like there would be a big enough market for it.

The MCP100 is not needed for sli. the only reason it's on Skull Trail is to split 2 16x PCIe 2.0's into 4 16x PCIe 1.0's. Nvidia is only supporting it because they are not going to be making a DP platform.

This is not Intel's decision, and there's a lot more money involved in getting Nvidia's support. If SLI ends up on intel chipsets, there goes almost all of Nvidia's chipset market. In order to break even, intel would have to cover not only all of Nvidia's lost revinue from boards, but also the large amount of money that they've pumped into their R&D machine to even produce a competitive intel platform.

I think 1T with 4 dimms is not 100% stable mate, 1T with some ram clockspeeds on my Striker board (surely over 1000Mhz) were not stable , yeah for some benches but not for 24/7 use

The thing is that some of us have no choice of mobos except the 680i or 780i. SLI for me is absolutely necessary and I have no choice on that matter. I have tried a 965 and a P35. I just returned a X38 because I thought I would try an Ultra video card and I thought that it would be good enough. Alas, it wasn't. It couldn't handle what I tried to run. I blame LG for making the panel and Dell for marketing the darn monitor Yes, I'm one of those suckers who's going to run out and buy three video cards when they are released...

Cant wait! I hope these drivers will be ready to download the night I get back from a 3 course meal with Santa Clause, The Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny - hopefully the Bogey Man won't try and gate crash.

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

Hahaha, owned by the big res. I may buy another 2007WFP, but there's no way I'm going any higher than 1680x1050 for a desktop gaming monitor. A friend of mine refuses to go higher than 1280x1024. His 8800 GT's doing just fine.

High rez is addictive. After seeing 4MP, nothing else looks right. The problem is that even the G80 Ultra SLI stutters at 16x AA rofl
