definitely seems (mine anyway) to be limited by shader clocks...
    ive had 750 core @ 1700 shader..but got less 3d06 than with 700 1800 shader ..lol

    750 core 1700 shader = 11500+
    690 core 1810 shader= 11503 lol (1820 shader throws errors with atitool test @660core)
    734/1781/2000mem = 11705.
    720 core 1800 shader/1900mem = 12000+
unfortunatley mine becomes unstable with clocks higher than 1800....tried 1850/1840/1830/1820 and it is a nogo.

shader clocks have the biggest effect on 3d06 score.

so all we need now is more shaders

now running 720/1790/1950...seems very stable in games (crysis) 169.02

Ya know Diverge, I noticed we have about the same clocks... and I also noticed something in your 3dmark window... my SM2.0 score is IDENTICAL essentially to yours, while the HDR/SM3.0 score had a huge boost with the SLI (you're running a single card, correct?). Maybe the drivers aren't up to snuff yet, and that's causing the really low score... because that's just too coincidental if you ask me :p.
yep, single card here. one thing that kinda confuses me is my CPU and SM2.0 score fluctuate from run to run... wish i knew why. i took lots of data, incrementing each clock individually, see how it affect each portion of the 3dmark score.. and SM3.0 is the only one that constantly went up with clock increases.. SM2.0 and CPU when up and down.

here's a graph some each individual portion of the 3dmark score vs overclocks of GPU/shader/RAM... each individually. only one that constantly increases with clocks is SM3.0

edit: here's a graph of 3dmark total score.. shader overclocks seem to increase the score more constantly

Wow, that is interesting... lends credence to jason4207 of OCforums posting this as a possibility:

"Alas, the G92s aint flawless. We've tried to run the 8800GT in SLI mode with an EVGA 680i mainboard and the Asus P5N32E-SLI, but was only greeted with a single card in Vista's device manager despite our various attempts to rectify this problem. All users who wishes to buy a couple of 8800GT cards should take note, G92 SLI doesnt seem to be quite working with the 680i chipset in Vista just yet. Nevertheless, we reckon this isn't a major problem and Nvidia should be fixing this in due time, as we've seen SLI benchmarks of the G92s on Nforce 780i floating around the web in recent days."
From a launch review of the 8800GT. I'm on Vista 64.

Just a quick update, new stable clocks.

864mhz Core and 2106mhz shader, messing with memory timings at the moment.

Because of that, I think I will be ordering a new PSU this weekend... I actually found an "inexpensive" PSU that was reviewed nicely: newegg's housebrand, "Rosewill" 750w, for $125 shipped. I may go with that, but I'm gonna go check the price on the PSU you're using. Gamestream = OCZ, correct?

Here's the one I am looking at:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...37;2bRX750-D-B

Jonnyguru, among the major sites, has a good review of it.

EDIT: Popped timings down to 5-5-5 1T, and score went up to 15971... at least it's something :p... gonna look around at PSU's and then order one, I'm pretty convinced it's the PSU causing the problem.
    dude
that c2d setup i did was powered by a enermax fma II 460watts

    169.02

ATITool dont seem to test it enough.

What BSODs do you get? Their debug info could show you what might be the issue.

    Vsync? Most common 3DMark mistake

I had a BSOD last night as well. Never had any problems with this system until the 8800GT went in, and I started using Rivatuner. Of course I also changed drivers to 169.02. I don't know which one is the culprit yet.

Hmm I disabled vsync and still getting around 7k using vista 32 os. Maybe my card is bogus? Even card at stock clocks is getting. 7k. Nvidia settings forced performance settings. My. 8800gts was getting around 11k. Any ideas? Should I unistall ati tool and riva? My pcie x16 bus is oc to 115mhz. This was fine on other cards. 6pin is plugged in. I have more than enough power from my psu to run this thing.

I should also add that when I removed my previous card and installed this one the pcie 16 slot sparked cause I forgot to fully dscharge the power. Maybe I killed the card or the slot itself? Strange that the card works in 3d mode but it just gets low scores. Am3 is about 100k with no lod tweaks

Yea I'm also interested in it. A problem though is that they do also have the design with the reference cooler and I don't know if it will even have an own product code with the custom cooler/power design. So far I've only seen the reference design but many sites don't have any pics too so it's a bit difficult to say.

Attention everyone, all 4 versions of the evga card are for sale on their website directly.

I just purchased a regular vanilla 8800GT for $270. After shipping ended up being $25 cheaper than getting the SC from ZZF.
    I'm back....

Yeap, that's the same product code (NE/8800T+T352) as the reference design part. So it's a bit difficult to find sites in Germany as about half of them or more doesn't have any pics of it. You have to go by picture to know what you get on this one...

Here's an example: http://www.hardware-chris.at/artikel...dvi-pcie-.html that's the reference design but has same product code. :/

    Yea that's really stupid IMO.

I'm interested in seeing how it clocks though, the probably more powerful cooler extra mosfet might help to stabilizie the overclock so. And since it seems to cost the same then why not?

169.04 here... half wondering if SLI isn't kicking in correctly, except when I disable it, I score around 13.5k, so I know it's kicking in somewhat . Maybe there's a BIOS setting I needed to change that I didn't or something? I'm on an eVGA NF68-A1 680i SLI board. Also, is the score you have there a single card?

That doesn't sound good...if you still have the GTS I would try it to compare back-to-back.
