Looking good.
I do have a couple of petras' tops for the DDC2 if you are interested. The pumps they belong to are dead.

Amazing. Can't wait for more updates.
Wow this is truly beautiful work you have going here.
I did the same as you, putting Swiftech mini-heatsinks on the mosfet blocks... (do you think they're fine?) I've heard on the 680i they get hotter than p35 though so you probably are doing the right thing getting those EK's.
Keep it coming! Love the way those 2 3x rads fit in there.

Yeah!!! so sexy!!! i love them... can't give eddie enough praise on the workmanship on his blocks...
Only minor thing i could say if that the ek 680i nb block, one of the edges came a lil melted..
minor thing though doesn't bother me at all
edit: lol it was just abit of excess... scratched it off block is perfect![]()
Very happy with the new MOSFET block. I checked it's fit today and it's great.
Was a bit concerned how tight the space was but eddy has got the dimensions exactly right.
Looks great too, eh?
Yeah it's awesome...fit's exactly i put it on... the contact is good... does warp my mobo a fair bit tho... so the contact in the middle isn't as good as the outer chips...
I went to bunnings today to get some m3 nut's couldn't find any asked a guy,his reply " nah mate don't exist" i was like wtf... are you sure... he said try somewhere else....
Any help with that jedda mate...???
cheers
I have M4 nuts in a bag in front of me.
On monday I will see if there's M3 nuts where they came from and get them to you if I get them.
Alternatively, Eddy will always send off a replacement for any missing part. I had the springs missing from my Nf4 block and he sent them out. It'll be a lot faster to find some here, though.
Haven't fitted my MOSFET block yet. Just checked it fits. Got to solve the back-plate issue first. Progress is being made.
Edit
Thinking about it. You could get away without the nuts on the 680i block. Mine do little other than hold the screws up until the block is on and the big brass ones take the job over.

ok mounted the nf4 block without the m3 nut's seem's ok.... contact is good...
Having alot of trouble with the ek 680i nb block... i can't screw down the block... because the top brass nut's don't fit..(i probably could if i had the m3 nut's that were supposed to come with the block) eddie sent out two different sizes... i do not know why...
also missing some fabric washer's??? are they even needed if i don't use the m3 nut's to secure the bolts to the mobo ???
any who i think i'm going to email eddie @ ek to see if i can get some new mounting gear (ff#@#@%@#$ ) going to have to wait another 8 day's for that
any idea's jedda or anyone?
cheers
You should have screw head, washer, mobo, washer, nut, block and brass nut.
If you leave out the M3 nut you don't need one set of washers. That's the ones on top of the board. You will need a set between screw head and mobo though.
Didn't you get any?
I have some plastic washers small enough, I got at Jaycar. There's heaps in a pack. If I find the nuts on monday it's no big deal to toss a few in. Have a few extra neoprene shims to spare too. I used one on both MCP and SPP to help keep the block level on those little chips.
What was included?
Jaycar have 3mm steel nuts on their site, cat number HP0425. Nylon 3mm washers cat number HP0148.
Either my guy or Jaycar would get them to you in a few days. Eddy will be as long as the blocks took.
yeah i have the nf4 like this screw-metal washer-fabric washer-mobo-block-spring-brass nut... the nf4 sit's ok...
With the ek 680i is very unstable mate very uneven... yeah mate if can spare anything spare..I'll happily pay for it...
My block's came with two different top nut 2 brass with nf4 and 4 aluminum one's with 680i but they don't even fit on the screw's!!!!
cheers mate
My Nf4 is round brass nut, fiber washer, mobo, spring, block, with the screw reaching down from the top.
Like this, except the bottom nut is a big round brass sucker. So no metal washer behind the mobo. Just fiber washer and knurled brass nut.

Nice blocks, disruptfam! Are those 1/2 inch fittings on them?
looking good bro! loving your setup.
keep us updated![]()
Nope 680i has the opposite. Screw head behind the board and brass nut above the block.
At least, that's how I did it, following the included instructions.
