I hope this comes true.

I like SLI, but after fighting with 680i chipsets and wasting god knows how much on different boards, blown ram, water cooling to tame them, dealing with raid issues it's left a sour taste in my mouth.

On the flip side my intel chipset based parts have never given me any problems.

nvidia really lucked out that ATi dropped the ball with the 2900xt.

If x38 gets SLI I'd pull the trigger on a couple boards right now. As things stand I'm about to pull the trigger on some 2900's just because I'm sick of 680i as is and have 0 faith in 780i being any better
