no need to be so sarcastic, i was not judgmental in any manner..

just by your definition i would be a fanboy of amd and i'm not, i just prefer it over intel..
i believe i've given you the def. up there![]()
no matter, still i like how the new X4 looks like..should be a good buy..
I disagree, I see a fanboy as someone who stands by the company regardless of the situation, and supports their every practice, their every press release, backs up everything they say, and says things like "intel is grabage, I will never buy intel". I prefer amd, just like i prefer K2 skis over others. Doesn't mean I wouldn't go to another alternative. In fact I almost bought an E21xx this summer, but due to motherboard costs, I had to decide against it. A fanboy only sees one option, the other is just ridiculous, and a fanboy constantly insults and dismisses any other alternative.
And back on topic we go..... using a res like 640X480 is always the best method of testing cpus heads up. You want to remove ALL videocard limiting factors. Turn off all the AA/AF, VSync, etc. Run it looking horrid but the point it to obtain maximum FPS. You never see those sorts of benchmarks being performed. Any test of 1280 on up will have some sort of GPU limiting effecting the results. And once you have 4 cores pushing data through 4 threads it will be even more critical to test at low resolutions if you want to see a real cpu performance test.

Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.
My definition of a fanboy is ... Anyone from the intel forums that can't stop themselves from threadcrapping in the AMD forums.

hell I'm happy they got teh bugger to 3ghz. I'm sure there is ALOT of optimization to be done on the board. Anyone who had pre-release AM2 boards will attest to the AWEFUL performance of those. Not that AM2 has set the world on fire mind you, but the AMD/ATI refernce sahara board was WOW, the poo. Looked like the Jawa's got ahold of it and soldered on it, and performed like a Lepper at a kissing booth!
it's never fast enough!
What's the official Phenom availability date?

Stay on the thread topic, otherwise start your own thread. This was extreamly disrespectful, and I dont agree with it.

How about this, the next flame comment I see in here, the offender will take a 3 day.
It is possible to discuss something, like it or not, without flaming, learn it.
Consider this an only warning.

I've got to say that I'm glad to see a gaming bench (all be it a demo) with a Phenom. But then again as someone pointed out earlier, don't really get the 8.** minimum FPS with the Phenom.
The important question is not the average but as some have already see before in this thread, why the phenom has only 8fps for the lower value. Is it really bad configuration, bad test or does that mean we should expect unpleasant frame drop in game.![]()

it's enough to understand..![]()
People can expect phenoms to be sold @ December, there won't be many phenoms shipped in november, and the shippings will fully start in late december.
Semi-paper launch!
Just my guess.
