    I have had a P5B deluxe with 3 different 4 sticks of memory configurations. every setup required tRCD and tRP at 5 or greater. That is the only change I need to make from the 2 to 4 memory stick configuration. Increased memory volts were needed for overclocking either 2 sticks or 4. It was the save volts requirement in either setup.

    With 4 sticks you can try the TRFC at 35. But, for 4 sticks I have needed that set to 42.

    I keep the others set at defaults. They are 10 and 11. I think that these setting are used by OEM when optimizing of the bios.

    Please let me know if it works. I now have 4 sticks and 8GBs rated at 5-5-5-18 Running at 5-5-5-15. But, I think I May set it to 5-6-6-18. I had a blue screen the other day. I really don't think it was memory. But, If I move it, I can forget it. I prime tested for days with no errors.

    Before several stability updates for Vista, I needed to do testing in XP. Vista would crash every so often. Even at default settings. It is much more stable now.

    I have done extensive performance testing mainly to let me know when and where I will need to upgrade. I had a P35 motherboard for a few days. I returned it only because I did not like boards secondary IDE controller. I found a few benchmarks increased a little bit. But, overall, I don't think there was significant improvement. One exception, I did not experience the Vdroope that is on the P5B. But, I have found a Vcore setting that I can live with.

    Anyway, I put my trusty P5B back in. I am going to wait for some new technology. I believe what is out and will be out in the next few months is only a refinement of the old technology.

    I hope that by the time the new CPU socket comes out, the price of DDR3 comes down some. I just assembled a decent system that was about the cost of some good DDR3 memory.

    I flashed new 1219 bios on my p5b deluxe and now vista x64 detects my E6600@8x400=3200MHz as 2.13GHz (before was detected as 3.6GHz). It's seems like vista only detects multiplyer (8x266=2128MHz) not FSB.

    You probably have 'Speedstep' enabled in 'CPU Configuration' of your bios. When your cpu is not working it trottles down to the six multiplier to save energy. Not a bad idea. You can see this in the program 'CPUZ.'
