Wrong *specific* LCD (yes it is a Sony LCD - W Series 40 inch 1080P - most likely)

Look at the bottom right corner of the LCD 'Full HD 1080P' sticker

Why not? I will give you 3 good reasons:

1) Most are comparing to MP BETA. MP BETA was far from finished, you saw that especially when it kept saying shaders loading or whatever even ingame when textures were yellow and could take several seconds before they showed up and also it's most likely using a debug engine which will make it run slower.

2) Game developers never aim higher with the system requirements than that a single highend $500 card won't run it maxed when it's released. They have to keep the system requirements to natural levels in order to get enough sales too. Just look back in the history.

3) What if this demo these people were able to play here at this event was running it with DirectX10 API? So far we haven't seen a game built ground up with DX10 and I'm not sure if this game will be built like that but what I know there's separate DLLs for DX9 and DX10 so most likely it's relying on the DX10 API if running with Vista + DX10 compatible card. In that case at similiar graphics levels as DX9 mode, the game runs even faster in DX10 but most likely the DX10 graphics enhancements will bring at least some slowdowns but it might not be enough for it to make it equal to or below DX9 performance. So it's possible that DX10 might bring some performance enchament even in this game.

sony puts that stick on everything

furthermore, the W series has a rectangular stand

the one in the photo has this cut oval shape, same as the 32" XBR2s had

Indeed many interviews they have said that DX10 would be included in the Demo.

The MP Beta only has DX9, yet in Vista you must run it with the DX10 line to actually get half way decent performance even though its still booting DX9.

Don't you guys know that a 3.5 is pretty much bare minimum in order to work at a decent company like AMD, Intel, IBM, NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, Google or Sun?

well what i meant to say was not that its impossible, but very unlikely.

and about x10 perf: i read in some interview that the game is supposed to run faster on dx10+very high compared to dx9+high.

Yup. The Dean of Engineering was telling us that when he worked at Bell Labs they wouldn't even look at you unless you were had a 3.9 or better. Granted Bell Labs is pretty elite but grades do matter at most of the good companies.

You are correct about the TV (not the W series), I should probably have looked up it up first

But not about the sticker, it is a 1080P panel, as to which one, I am not sure.

Ok so yea EA needs to be hit on the head.

Downloaded it, installed it went to play it and the Download Manager is asking me to verify ownership.

Tried everything lol still a no go. I don't think anyone can play it atm.
