There is currently DirectX 10.0.
And there will be DirectX 10.1.

If a card supports DirectX 10.0, it will not support DirectX 10.1.
If a card supports DirectX 10.1, it will support DirectX 10.0.
If a card supports DirectX 9.0c, it does not support DirectX 10.0 or DirectX 10.1.

If a card doesn't support DirectX 10.1, but DirectX 10.0, then it still supports DirectX 10.0.
So the software that current games such as cyrsis and CoH are supporting is Dx10 right? What makes Dx10.1 different and special? Will Dx10 die out?
