    I'll just go ahead and use a thumbdrive tomorrow. Also why does Probe read 2.11 for the DRAM when I have 2.0 set in the bios ? Is it just an incorrect reading or is it overvolting ?

    Based on how it clocks my ram, it's overvolting.

    i upgraded from ip35pro to maximus and so far my feelings for that mobo are mixed...

    pros: very good ram o/c
    cons: limited fsb o/c (i lost ~15 fsb ),issues with certain memory dividers(4:5), mobo doesn't post with x-fi on the last pci
    are there any tips to gain more fsb for quads?

    using 0505bios

    I don't think the non SE has made it to the vendors yet. Everyone still has the SE though.

    Or you can get the P5E

    I see that some of you are looking for the non-SE version.

    I thought the SE can be used in a air-cooled configuration as well. The heatpipes looks similar.

    Is the non-SE better if air-cool?

    It will probably be better, but I'm not sure how much better it will actually be. Would the difference be that noticeable??

    The P5E is in many way similar to Maximus Formula. For the price difference ($20), there is no point to get the P5E.

    so far im really happy with this board
    I previously had a P5B-DLX WIFI and my Q6600 wouldn't post at anything above 3.2GHZ, now im at 3.6GHZ with prime stable with only 1.4v

    Im having some issues with certain memory dividers like everybody else but im counting on this to be fixed on the next bios rls
