My ASUS died yesterday after shutting down the PC using the PSU switch (i shut down using Ubuntu 7.10 but the PC was still poweron for some reason then i decided to use the back switch)...

So... i tried to use the ASUS recover bios utility with the CD and also using a pendrive and nothing happened so i guess i am one of the owners with the EPROM chip screw, no? )

The system now doesn't post at all and even the 8600GT bios doesn´t appear. The PWON led also turns off after 15secs but the systems is still pwon... no idea..

My mobo is rev1.04 and i hope the store give me the same one at least, is there a higher revision ?

For sure its the mobo or i should doubt about the E6400? i don't thinks so, should i?

PD: I tried everying: ClearCMOS, CLEARCMOS after having the baterry out for 45minutes, unplugging every power cable.... :'(
